Job Description
Duties include shipping, receiving, and delivering supplies, material and equipment. Maintain inventory control and records, be able to perform related work.
Primary duties include:
Shipping and Receiving
Receive and unload freight both manually or with equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks; verifiy items received as expected; ship supplies; stock shelves and rotate inventory; may receive, store, and ship flammable, explosive or caustic and hazardous material; may assemble and move furniture; may maintain equipment and vehicles.
Inventory Maintenance and Clerical
Participate in physical inventories of warehouse, vehicles and/or supply yard; maintain inventory records; operate a personal computer; answer phone and provide information using customer service skills; may coordinate disposal of surplus property and manage records retention.
Driver/Warehousing
Load, unload, and move materials within or near warehouse or work site; perform any of the following duties: reads order or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials to be moved, transport materials to or from storage or work sites to designated area, using forklift, flatbed truck and/or trailer. Some positions require a valid Commercial Driver's License.
Requires frequent lifting & forklift experience is a plus ~ will be sorting HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical equipment/material delivered to the shop.
