Basic Purpose
Leads and manages Client Insights and Design team members in the sale, execution, and delivery of analytical services for clients, including design analysis and performance insights. Represents Maritz Motivation Solutions as a thought leader in delivering data-driven marketing services that continually improves the performance of employee recognition, sales incentives and channel-based loyalty programs. Leads projects that advance MMSA analytics capabilities to support client retention and growth.
Scope
Manages, coaches and mentors a team of Client Insights and Design team members. Conducts pre-sale activities, including RFP response and development of analytics proposals and pricing, generating $500,000 in analytics revenue annually. Conducts and presents analytic deliverables for key strategic clients, including development of design models and Strategic Business Reviews (SBRs).
Reporting and Working Relationships
Reports to Senior Director, Strategic Insights and Design. Direct reports range from 2 to 5 on average consisting of Client Insights and Design analytic roles within MMS. Interacts significantly with client account teams, including Sales, Operations, Solution Design, Solution Strategists, Finance, Technology, Marketing, etc. Interacts significantly with Technology team and Client to extract appropriate data files for analysis. Interacts with existing or prospective C-level client contacts in face-to-face meetings to establish relationships, sell analytics services and deliver analytics findings

STRATEGIC INSIGHTS AND DESIGN: Manages the development and delivery of client-specific Design Analysis, Strategic Business Reviews & other ad hoc analytics for current clients to build design models, analyze historic performance, predict future performance and make ongoing enhancement recommendations that result in better program performance and incremental revenue/profits for MMS. Includes assigning team resources, developing and monitoring standard processes, optimizing team production/efficiency and maintaining overall responsibility for final client deliverables that demonstrate Maritz position as the preeminent thought leader in the loyalty & motivation marketplace. 55
PEOPLE AND PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT: Communicates strategic plan to team members in order to help achieve business objectives. (2) Fosters a positive environment that promotes professional development of team. (3) Communicates objectives and provides coaching to foster career growth and advancement. (4) Interviews and makes staffing decisions by ensuring candidates meet required skills and align with Maritz Employee Behavior Model. (5) Provides timely performance based recognition, in order to reinforce positive behavior as it occurs. (6) At a minimum annually delivers formal performance feedback to direct reports. (7)Responsible to oversee administrative activities related to (a) requisitions, time approvals, vacation tracking, etc. (8) Responsible for all direct report performance management issues and documentation. (9) Supports and participates in all management sponsored incentive, performance improvement, continuous improvement, and training/development activities. PRE-SALE: Provides subject matter expertise via thought leadership gained from analyzing the performance of existing loyalty & motivation programs as supports to the sales organization for pre-sale initiatives, including (1) written RFP responses, (2) stand-up client presentations and (3) written client proposals with clear deliverables, timelines and pricing. Represents Client Insights and Design team during sales presentations to develop the scope for business analytics engagements. Educates internal sales and operations teams on insights and analytics. 15
STRATEGIC PROJECTS: Takes cross-functional leadership role in key strategic initiatives relevant to advancing the analytics discipline within MMS, expanding our capabilities with clients and driving business results, including expanding the Data Warehouse, improving Predictive Modeling capabilities, etc. Supports Sr Dir, Strategic Insights & Design in strategic planning and product development through strategic thinking and being voice of the customer back to MMS. Provides team development, financial considerations and industry insights to aid in budget planning and management. Supports MMS Marketing in ongoing product development to ensure that analytics services and MMS stay relevant to clients and prospects, as well as on par with our competitors. 15

Qualifications
(1) Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience required, preferably in one of the following disciplines: Marketing, Statistics, Business, Economics or Engineering. (2) MBA or similar advanced degree strongly preferred. (3) Minimum of 5+ years experience in serving clients in a business or marketing environment. (4) Experience with, and strong understanding of employee recognition, sales incentives, channel loyalty, consumer loyalty, or equivalent marketing-based programs required (5) Strategic consulting experience preferred. (6) Previous people management experience preferred. (7) Must understand relational databases. (8) Demonstrated experience presenting quality work to client. (9) Ability to work collaboratively in a matrix environment. (10) Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven ability to present strategic recommendations. (11) Ability to work under tight deadline pressures. (12) Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. (13) Experience in forecasting, predictive modeling, marketing analysis, and qualitative methods of customer, product, and market analytics. (14) Must possess excellent statistical and analytical skills, as well as general business acumen. (15) Strong Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint skills required. (16) SQL, PowerPivot and PowerView experience required.
