Job Summary and Mission
This position contributes to Starbucks success by applying business technology expertise to identify, design, and deploy enhanced process and technology solutions supporting the operational requirements and/or strategic initiatives of a specific business unit or function.
You will be responsible for designing and implementing 'best in the class' planning processes using Oracle Value Chain Planning modules (ASCP, APCC, DRP, GOP, IO, Demantra S&OP etc.,) & Logility Demand Planning across the Starbucks supply chain network, while having the opportunity to learn the CPG/Retail/Distribution/Manufacturing space as we continue to grow and build out our organization. You will be working across the other teams in providing end to end supply chain solutions for new product launch, or for opening new distribution centers and/or manufacturing facilities globally.
Defines overall business requirements and provides process consulting on projects and sustainment initiatives of significant scope and complexity. Leads functional requirements and solution design activities across initiative teams, various Information Technology (IT) groups, and business stakeholders to collaboratively develop effective solutions. Leverages industry, process, and technology subject matter expertise to drive the resolution of complex business technology challenges. Leads and develops less experienced analysts. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.
Summary of Key Responsibilities

Solution Delivery
*
Proactively identifies and effectively assesses improvement opportunities (productivity/efficiency gains, cost savings, etc.)

Gathers, analyzes, and documents business requirements to drive the design and development of technology and/or process solutions

Leverages leading process and technology expertise to propose appropriate solution options

Translates business requirements into technology solutions. Clearly defines and communicates targeted functional solution via functional design specifications. Verifies technical designs satisfy functional requirements.

Leads iterative solution design and prototyping efforts

Directs application configuration activities in support of solution delivery initiatives

Coordinates solution delivery activities with vendors as required
*
Leads solution testing efforts by developing test plans, preparing test environments, coordinating the test execution, and validating test results.

Creates detailed system design and architecture and end-user documentation to support new system implementation efforts. Delivers training and performs knowledge transfer to team members as required.

Plays a key role in project initiation efforts by defining project scope and supporting the development of work plans, estimates, and timelines
Production Support
*
Leverages deep system and process expertise in analyzing and troubleshooting complex system/user issues to drive resolution and determine root cause
*
Leads issue resolution efforts across peer support groups, technical support teams, and vendors as required
*
Effectively coordinates and communicates issues resolution with end-users
*
Correlates related production issues and assesses trends to identify broader improvement opportunities
*
Extends technology support internationally to support global business operations

Summary of Experience
*
Relevant functional/business process experience in Supply Chain Planning & Forecasting – 10 years
*
Implementation, Configuration, Customization & Production Support experience in Oracle Value Chain Planning – 8 Years
*
Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning (ASCP) - implementation, configuration, customization, production support
*
Implementation & Support experience in Oracle Advance Planning Command Center (APCC), Distribution Requirement Planning (DRP), Inventory Optimization (IO), Oracle Production Scheduling
*
Implementation experience in Demantra Sales & Operations Planning
*
Logility Demand Planning is a plus.
*
Oracle EBS experience preferred: Oracle Process Manufacturing, Purchasing, Inventory, Order Management, Material Requirements Planning, BOM, WIP– 8 Years
*
Additional supply chain planning applications could include: Logility, i2, Manugistics, SAP APO.
*
Planning and executing systems, preferably in a complex and diverse systems environment - 8 years
*
Progressive experience in systems design, testing and implementation within a large, global organization - 8 years
*
Applicable application and system configuration experience - 8 years
*
Production support, system maintenance, upgrades, and enhancement delivery experience - 8 years
*
End user support and documentation experience - 8 years
