The Advanced Testing Services Application Consultant is responsible for guiding Kronos customers through the test and certify phase of the implementation. The successful candidate will utilize the defined testing processes and procedures to meet the established testing milestones and targeted completion dates.
Other responsibilities will include the following customer/site related tasks: Using professional concepts, creating detailed test plans and test cases to support customer documented business solution. Advise customers on, relative recommended testing practices. Support customer resources during the test and certify phase including managing test issues, test progress and status to timelines.
This role has responsibilities in the following areas:
Service Development
* Development of Advanced Testing Services processes and templates
* Efficiency (comprehensiveness of testing documentation)
* Participate in the expansion of automated testing tools
Customer Testing Support
* Provide consultative testing support to Kronos customers, prepare / review detailed test strategies and plans.
* Understand application requirements and design features to be able to write test cases.
* Serve as primary testing liaison between company and customer, conveying customer test results feedback to product development staff.
* Work closely with other Kronos resources on new client implementation, upgrade, and change order projects.
* Provide tester training for the customer support team.
* Timely and accurate metrics and reports tracking project testing deliverables to customer and Kronos project team.
* Proactively consult on testing best practice methodology to ensure client success.
* Comfortable presenting in front of client audiences in person, over the web, as well as the phone.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Good learning ability - functional and technical.
* Knowledge of various software development life cycles and how testing is performed.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
* High level of personal accountability and “self-starter” attitude in order to make progress in ambiguous situations.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience working with client/server and/or Web Based technologies.
* Experience implementing payroll systems (in-house payroll experience a plus) - Preferred.
* BS in Mathematics/Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in quality assurance or development is desired.
* International Software Qualifications Board (ISTQB) or similar certification.
* Ability and flexibility to travel 75%
