Description: Phoenix-based SRP, the nation's third-largest public power and water utility, is recruiting an IT Business Analyst.

JOB BRIEF:
The Business Analyst (BA) is responsible for working closely with clients, project manager, core technical team members and other project stakeholders and providing leadership throughout the Software Development Life Cycle. This individual must possess solid business acumen, strong oral and written communication skills, flexibility, self-motivation, and social skills. They also must have the ability to bridge the business/IT divide in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others and gains understanding and trust.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Facilitate, elicit and drive requirements, ensuring traceability throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Creating standard deliverables (System Requirements Specification, Functional Design Document, Use Cases, User Stories,Test Strategies, Test Plans, Test Cases, User Acceptance Training Summary Reports)
• Produce RFI's and RFP's for Vendor product selection as well as Vendor Demo Scripts, and Vendor Package Solution Reports
• Communicate status to project managers, team members, clients and management

• Facilitate the definition, adoption and continuous improvement of:
Business Analysis Standards and Best Practices.
• Support the SRP BA Community through mentoring, training and collaboration.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Eligibility for placement in the Job Family will be evaluated on an individual basis according to experience and educational background. The requirement for professional experience is defined as post-degree, exempt/professional, job-related experience.

Senior Computer Analyst - Salary Grade 54:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems or Computer Science plus five years of experience; or a Bachelor's Degree in related field appropriate for the assignment plus six years of experience.

Computer Analyst - Salary Grade 52:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems or Computer Science plus two years of experience; or a Bachelor's Degree in related field appropriate for the assignment plus three years of experience.

Associate Computer Analyst - Salary Grade 51:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems or Computer Science; or a Bachelor's Degree in related field appropriate for the assignment plus one year of experience.

Desired experience includes:
• 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst with extensive hands on experience in facilitating the elicitation of requirements is preferred

• 7 years of extensive hands on experience with the Requirements, Design, Construction, Testing and Implementation phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is preferred

• 3 years of experience with Business Process Modeling is preferred

• Experience with multiple SDLC methodologies is preferred

• Experience as a Business Analyst on different sized projects (small, medium, large) is preferred

• Experience gathering requirements/testing package installations is a plus
