Title: Lead Systems Administrator
Location: United States-Georgia-Peachtree City
Job Number: 1303106Basic Function:
Will
actively manage the organizations SAN data storage, VMWare virtualization,
& Linux operating system environment, have ownership over operating system
configurations, ensure backups, and be involved in the data center
operations. Will work with other technical
staff and managed service providers.
Accountabilities:

Supports Server storage infrastructure including
related components (Storage Attached Network\Network Attached Storage (SAN\NAS)
devices, switches, server chassis, software)

Optimization (Optimal Raid configuration)

software (Powerpath, Unisphere, Analyzer)

support (Ubuntu, Fedora etc)

Designs, develops,
and implements hardware/software solutions that enhance or extend the
enterprise SAN and NAS Storage infrastructure.

Develops and
produces capacity and performance management reports and associated
recommendations for storage and backup infrastructures.

Evaluates
emerging technologies in the areas of storage area networking, storage
subsystems, and develops the associated strategic roadmap, ensuring that
current and planned technical solutions are compatible with the company’s
business needs and strategic objectives.

Develops and
maintains the release schedule ensuring that all hardware and software in the
SAN, VMWare, and Linux environments are on current versions and patch levels.

Develops documents
and maintains standard operating procedures.

Participates in
technical research and development to maintain cutting edge technology
solutions.

Assists with
technical issues, project management, design, analysis and implementation of computing
solutions.

Works with
managed system providers (MSP) and provides oversight for Service Level
Agreement (SLA) adherence.

Monitors system
performance and ensures appropriate PASA IT SLA’s & metrics, including data
center uptime.

Provides
executive overview of system performances in the form of dashboards.

Prepares weekly reports,
charts, graphs, and other statistical information regarding system performance
and utilization.

Manages and maintains system notification and appropriate
escalation procedures.

Provides technical support for incident management and ensures customer
satisfaction.

Performs Root Cause analysis and suggests
corrective actions.

Identifies and communicates project deliverables
along with system requirements.

Prepares periodic
maintenance plans and complies with change management procedures.

Interprets and
complies with company policies, procedures, and regulations.

Interprets and
discusses information with team members and leadership team; regularly provides
updates and\or recommendations to solve issues.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer
Science Engineering or related field and a minimum of
five (5) years of related experience; or a
minimum of seven (7) years related experience, preferably in medium to large
size environment.

Must be capable of system
level design work and hands-on support activities.

Experience with SAN\NAS
storage solutions.

Experience and the ability to
support 24x7 production environments.

Ability to work with managed
system providers (MSP) and provide oversight for Service
Level Agreement (SLA) adherence.

Ability to support Virtual
server environments.

Ability
to identify and communicate project deliverables along with system
requirements.

Ability to develop and execute mitigation plans for technical set-backs.
Proficiency with Microsoft
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Windows-based databases as appropriate to
the position and assignment.

Experience with the following are preferred:
EMC SAN or related storage
administration

Cisco Unified Computing
System (UCS) technology

Linux\Unix Operating system
Scripting language knowledge
(example: Powershell, PHP, Perl, Python)
