The Business The Towers Watson Client Development Group's (CDG) primary function is to build and expand client relationships with our Target Market Organizations which are typically Fortune 1,000 companies and their equivalents. This includes responsibilities for growing revenue and managing a portfolio of clients across all three Segments of our business. The Role

The assistant is responsible for providing support to the St. Louis Client Development Group and Marketing Function of Towers Watson, a global leader in human resource consulting.

The successful candidate must have problem solving skills, creativity, and professional maturity and confidence to develop relationships with senior level consultants and outside vendors. The candidate must also be able to manage through ambiguity. Past office experience is desirable but not required; however, solid experience with MS Office is required.

**CDG Function Administrative Support:*

* Draft routine correspondence (preparing engagement letters, contracts, meeting notes, etc.)

* Prepare, edit, format and produce presentations, proposals and correspondence

* Manage calendar, internal and external appointments through MS Outlook

* Manage client information and sales database

* Coordinate travel arrangements

* Prepare monthly expense reports

* Perform administrative tasks such as faxing, copying, filing, and conference call coordination

* Coordinate client billing process

* Answer telephones and respond to routine client requests

* Anticipate needs of Accounts Directors by proactively reviewing upcoming schedules

* Develop an understanding of client needs to proactively support Account Directors in delivering Towers Watson services

* Seek out work assignments to effectively support Account Director needs

* Ability to work with ambiguity

* Ability to seek out issues and work towards resolution

* Other duties as assigned

**Marketing Support:*

* Support marketing plans through seamless execution of client-facing programs:

* Research opportunities and logistics

* Develop, adhere to and track event budgets

* Contract with venues and vendors, as needed

* Coordinate internal planning and communications

* Assist with list development

* Manage the invitation process

* Track and communicate response rates

* Determine print production needs including collateral, giveaways and signage

* Oversee all logistics, including onsite coordination

* Recommend process improvements as necessary to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing events

* Provide event analysis to assist Marketing Manager in identifying best practices and future opportunities

* Perform basic research on clients, prospects, and industries to share with our CDG team and keep our database up-to-date

* Serve as office administrator for firm wide client information management tool, CIS. Responsibilities will include:

* Ensuring overall data completeness, quality and integrity

* Using system to develop targeted marketing lists and reports

* Update, coordinate and distribute marketing calendars

* Order, stock and inventory publications and promotional merchandise. Apply cost savings measures and stay within budget

* Coordinate local, divisional and national survey projects

* Coordinate holiday card and selected client gift activities

* Creativity to craft ideas for decorating client events, coming up with client gift ideas, and supporting other client event needs

The Requirements

* 5 years’ related experience as a project coordinator, preferably in a professional services firm and/or marketing field.

* Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communication, Journalism or English preferred.

* Able to work in a team environment and to take independent initiative.

* Some flexibility in work schedule to accommodate support for client events outside of normal business hours

* Strong writing, editing, time management and organization skills.

* Attention to detail, consistently delivering high quality work

* Strong interpersonal skills and strong sense of customer service.

* Able to work in fast-paced environment and to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Able to prioritize work and ask for clarification when necessary, use good judgment, demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, and carry projects through to completion in a timely manner.

* Advanced skills in MS Word and PowerPoint. Good working knowledge of MS Excel and databases.

* Able to manage projects across geographies.
