Responsibilities:The successful candidate must be knowledgeable of and experienced with web anddesktop application software design and development environments.Principal responsibilities include:* Develop code using Microsoft Visual Studio in .NET and C# environmentswith an including front-end methodologies including AJAX, JavaScript, CSS* Design and develop web services components for cross-application solutions* Interact with system designers and provide feedback on design modules* Perform testing on developed code (initial and regression)* Coordinate and prioritize application modifications and bug fixes* Participate and contribute to a team approach to software development andproblem solving using Agile/Scrum practices* Work well as part of a development team including across System and BusinessAnalyst teams as well as other development teams. Qualifications:Education and Experience:A Bachelors Degree - preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering orsimilardiscipline - or demonstrated progress towards a four year degree with relevantcertifications is required for this position.Highly qualified candidate willhave at least twoyears of Information Technology experience with one or more years ofspecialized,hands-on experience in system applications design and development of web basedapplications within a team setting.Required Skills and Competencies:* Microsoft .NET, C# and ASP.NET with a working understanding or ObjectOriented design techniques* Microsoft Visual Studio .NET* ASP.NET MVC experience* AJAX, JavaScript, Cross-browser designs* JavaScript libraries - JQuery, Node, Backbone, or similar* Styling experience with CSS* XML, JSON, client and server side data object management experience* Familiarity with Microsoft Internet Information Server* SQL (Microsoft SQL Server background desired)* Operating system experience with Windows7 and Windows Server* Strong written and verbal communication skillsDesired Skills:* User-centered design experience with the proven ability to develop webinterfaces using CSS, JavaScript, and HTML.* Web Services and Service Oriented Architecture* Test-Driven Design and agile (Scrum, XP) development experience* Familiarity with NUnit and/or unit testing frameworks* Familiarity with source control management systems, Subversion (SVN)or similar (CVS, VSS)* Microsoft SQL Server basic administration tasks, SQL Server securitymodel, basic data modeling principles* codeBeamer - Web-based team collaboration and project management tool* Documentation and Reporting skills* Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel,Visio, and Project* Business process analysis experience* Familiarity with OR/Ms such as SubSonic, NHibernate, Entity Framework* Familiarity with Lucene and .NET API's* Familiarity with Business Process Management systemsSuccessful candidate is subject to a background investigation by thegovernment and must be able to meet the requirements to hold a position ofpublic trust.
