Job Description This resource would help manage the integrity of the company s information resources at the network, operating system, and application levels by researching, recommending, and developing security architecture, as well as leading the implementation of appropriate technical and procedural solutions. This resource must be capable of providing expert-level support for complex security issues in the network, mainframe, and distributed operating systems environments. The scope of services includes all network, operating systems, and web server platforms throughout TECO Energy and its subsidiaries.
An integral part of to these services would be to ensure that all critical cyber assets are secure; reviewing activities to document compliance w
ith Sarbanes-Oxley and corporate information security standards; segregating all access to cyber assets and network resources as regulations dictate; recommending updates to security processes; investigating possible security exceptions; maintaining and modifying security metrics. Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment and for following the defined policies and procedures.
•Develops security policies, standards, and procedures for all mainframe, network, and application systems as well as maintain and update IT Standard & Procedure 3.05.00 – Ensure Systems Security and other established security standards, and assist in identifying and document exceptions to these standards 20%
•Implements necessary operating system and network controls to meet Corporate (S&P3.05) and Federal regulations (SOX,HIPAA) regarding appropriate separation of company operational systems. 25%
•Security representative on Corporate projects (application, system, and network) providing security support requiring knowledge across multiple platforms and databases. 25%25%20
•Designs and supports Internet network infrastructure security projects. 20%
•Provides second-level technical support for security systems and authentication mechanisms on all operating system platforms. 10%
Basic Qualifications •One related I.T. Security professional or vendor certification (ex: CSSA, CEH, GIAC, CISSP, etc.)
•CISSP, ITILv3, and two related I.T. Security professional or vendor certifications (ex: CEH, CSSA, GIAC, etc.)
•Thorough knowledge of Windows and Active Directory operating system security, web server security (Microsoft IIS Server)
•Working knowledge of major network security systems: (Checkpoint Firewalls, Forefront Anti-Virus, Microsoft Direct Access)
•Basic knowledge of compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, etc.
