The Hosted Technology Solution Specialist (HTSS) works within the Research & Litigation Solution line. The Specialist will partner with other members of the USLM Sales organization to drive revenue in their accounts, specifically as it relates to the sale of the products/solutions in the Managed Technology Services and Hosted Litigation portfolio. Emphasis will be placed on Hosted Litigation in the Large Law market. The HTSS commands a deep knowledge of key existing and emerging challenges facing our customers. The HTSS leverages this expertise to convey credibility, meaningfully assesses customer needs and promotes the LexisNexis Hosted portfolio in a targeted and highly professional manner to drive revenue in target accounts. This particular role will be focused on selling and servicing our managed technology services solutions including data hosting, data lifecycle management, hosted litigation and hosted FYI.

Key roles and responsibilities will include:

1. Partner with the client manager/account manager and litigation solutions specialist teams to target customer accounts for hosted solutions that drive revenue. This will include leading the pre-sales effort, closing the business, and managing client expectations once the sale is made and implementation takes place.

2. Entrench the company's strategic position by building relationships with key customer decision makers. This would include but is not limited to CIOs, CTOs, Technology Directors, IT Directors, Technology Partners, and Technology/Automation Committees (where appropriate).

3. Based upon overall account plans, uncover leads and initiate and drive the sales cycle. This would include a needs analysis (vision call), follow up from that analysis, and formal recommendations.

4. Assist with aligning the buying process and decisions makers to expand the value proposition for the Total Practice Solutions.

5. Expand the client?s knowledge and educate them about the Hosted Solutions through vision calls, technology roundtables, public speaking, product demonstrations, and at trade shows LN participates in.

6. Provide product feedback to Market Planning and the Product Teams in regard to the Hosted Solutions, providing customer and their own feedback as it relates to current solutions and suggestions for future feature/function and new and enhanced products.

7. Maintain and increase industry wide technology knowledge, particularly as it applies to technology that directly or indirectly relates to the Hosted Solutions. Maintain a strong knowledge of both the current Hosted Solutions and new and/or enhanced solutions.

8. Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or Business or equivalent. MBA or JD a plus.

2. Five years of technical consulting or technical sales experience.

3. Excellent communication and presentation with demonstrated ability to interact with key decision makers.

4. Ability to work cooperatively within a team and across the organization matrix to achieve group and organizational goals.

5. Familiarity with the LN technology to include managed network services (data hosting, disaster recovery, business continuity), and other associated applications, as appropriate.

6. Strong time management skills to meet frequent and possibly conflicting deadlines and sales force priorities.

7. Ability to be self directed and task oriented.

8. Ability to build strong, enduring relationships to establish a network of individuals who can provide information, help or access to others.

9. Ability to explain the technology and present it at a variety of levels for both external and internal customers.

10. Demonstrated ability to drive to close. Includes overcoming obstacles to improve business results and performance levels to increase LN footprint in customer organizations.

11. Frequent overnight travel.

12. Ability to carry laptop and collateral materials of approximately 15 lbs.
