HVAC DESIGN
Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity that require a high degree of innovation and ingenuity. Designs components or portions of systems, and modifies existing designs to develop or improve them. Uses computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools: Gathers information, makes studies, performs calculations, and prepares original rough layouts and sketches to present design proposal. Coordinates design criteria with engineering, tooling, material, and planning group in accordance with contractual specifications. Conceptualize hydronic and airside system concepts and prepare 2D Autocad or 3D ductwork model in Bently Building Mechanical System (BBMS) including layout and sizing, create sheet metal isometrics, clash resolution and approval, 2D plan annotations, sections, airflow diagrams, P&ID’s, details, and schedules. Responsible for documentation of generation and distribution of Mechanical/HVAC utilities and all HVAC air systems. Assign tasks to team of designers and track progress and quality of documentation. Participate in field surveys, cost estimating, and insure design coordination with all other project disciplines. 10+ years of experience required.Drafting/design and related coursework required.BS reduces experience requirement by 1-2 years.AutoCAD and BBMS (Bently Building Mechanical System) software required
