Position Description
Working with Client Managers and Senior Consultants to understand and analyze the clients’ business and technical requirements.
Documenting the clients’ requirements in appropriately formatted business specifications.
Assisting the Client Manager and Senior Consultants to obtain sign off on the requirements from the client.
Participating in design sessions for new functionality.
Participating in design sessions for the customization of existing functionality.
Assisting in the development of appropriate test plans, both at a functional level and a regression testing level.
Assisting the Support Analysts in resolving production issues as they arise.
Keeping abreast of the different types of products supported by Compass.
Working continuously to acquire and enhance your understanding of Compass, its subsystems and various system functionality.
Attending appropriate training classes when they are available.
Interacting with other SunGard personnel, including other business analysts, members of the Design Team, Programmers, and System and Technical Analysts.
Configuring the various subsystems of Compass to be used by the client for the client.
Acquiring the basic technical skills set required in the analysis process, as well as problem identification and resolution:
SQL
UNIX
ORACLE
Position Requirements
A dynamic personality and the ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment which is essential to the position.
The capacity to understand, document and translate a client’s business requirements for use within SunGard.
The ability to modify working hours to accommodate clients in different time zones (early starts or late evenings).
The capacity to travel to client sites is desirable. 80%+ travel may be required.
Depending on the client, the incumbent may be the first line of support for all client issues raised.
The ideal candidate will have a solid Group/Life Insurance background
