Morgan, Lewis is seeking an individual to fill a IT Operations Manager position within our IT Operation Services department. Provide day-to-day management and guidance of an IT Operations team entrusted with the operational stability, security, and support of all technology services related to the corporate data center and other facilities' data centers. This position is also responsible to manage the operation and maintenance of all server hardware, electrical, mechanical and HVAC equipment within the Data Center. This equipment supports mission critical servers, networks and storage and must maintain better than 99.999% uptime. Additional responsibilities include server builds; both virtual and physical, installation of servers into the data centers and upholding standards and compliance.
Responsibilities include:
'X Ensure proper distribution of power within the facility and to equipment racks.
'X Ensure prompt repair of any failed or degraded equipment.
'X Ensure proper operation and maintenance of all equipment.
'X Manage contractors and vendors that perform work in the Data Center.
'X Schedule and coordinate regular maintenance on all equipment.
'X Work with building engineers as needed to maintain proper service levels and maintenance on share resources.
'X Ensure proper monthly generator testing is accomplished.
'X Regularly evaluate existing Data Center environments, design solutions that address business issues and implements service improvements and efficiencies.
'X Maintain local office computer room standards, working with Regional Directors to ensure proper compliance.
'X Deliver technology solutions to meet company strategic goals to enhance operational effectiveness and productivity.
'X Manage IT Operations group ensuring that all members are meeting performance standards, serve as champion for innovation and measure group performance through effective metrics.
'X Analyze workload and assign or schedule work to meet priorities and goals
'X Communicate directly with senior management on a regular basis and participate in weekly managers' meetings
Requirements:
A successful candidate will have a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field or the recognized equivalent in work experience, and 4-6 years experience in a related position in a corporate environment with a minimum 2-4 years of management and leading an IT Team; The successful candidate will also have the ability to work in a fast pace environment; advanced knowledge of high voltage filtered systems including UPS, PDU, transformer, etc.; strong critical thinking, complex problem solving, appropriate judgment and decision making skills.; ability to sense and forecast problem areas; possess well-developed technical documentation, project management and facilitation skills and
experience managing system administrators and providing technical leadership to team members.
