Job Functions

- Provide timely, expert technical service assistance and support to district dealers, distributors and customers. Promote the highest quality service programs with dealers, in order to maximize customer satisfaction with DTNA products. ' Provide continual expert coverage within assigned area to ensure timely response to all customer and dealer service related issues. Analyze service assistance and product support requests, to determine the extent, complexity, and significance of service related issues. Initiate corrective action through headquarters service support groups. ' Provide feedback from customers, dealers and distributors, concerning service program requirements, as well as for technical training needs. Promote technical training with dealers throughout the district and ensure that all technical training requirements are met. ' Provide consistent interpretation and administration of company policies which promote company service objectives through dealer and distributor network. ' Ensure adequate quality service repairs are being performed throughout the district. Ensure adequate quality, and timeliness of technical workmanship performed by dealer and distributor network personnel. ' Manage service policy expenditures within the district. Provide consistent, equitable approval of policy expenditures at the district level. Ensure the policy expenditure decisions are compatible with company guidelines, and that they are made considering the best interests of DTNA, customers and dealers. ' Assist sales efforts as required. Provide service advice concerning district service support for special applications of products, for fleets, etc. ' Assist in resolving product liability cases. Assist with field investigations as requested. Represent the company in court as required.' Comply with all company and location regulations and guidelines valid for the area of responsibility (e. g. safety and environmental-protection regulations and quality).  
Basic Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Engineering or Business Management REQUIRED; AND 6 years experience in Service or Service related areas of work with responsibility for achieving on-going customer satisfaction, including 2 years group leader / supervisory / project lead experience is required.' Six years technical experience with both chassis and engines working for a heavy/medium duty truck manufacturing company, or vendor. is required.' Masters Degree is preferred.' Experience with Daimler products is preferred.
