Seeking a Disaster Recovery Architect, Montvale, NJ
BridgeView IT is seeking a Disaster Recovery Architect for a 6 months + contract position with one of our top clients. This role is located in Montvale, NJ. Our client is specifically looking for a candidate that has a deep knowledge in Disaster Recovery solutions to assist with enhancing the DR program to remediate risk to the client.

REQUIRED SKILLS
Ability to develop/gather requirements, design and architect an effective solution
Proven track record of delivering disaster recovery solutions in support of the DR Program
Experience with assessing and implementing data replication products
Experience with assessing and implementing data storage products
Experienced in the development of technical disaster recovery plans
Advanced knowledge in network enterprise class hardware (OC48 circuits, LAN, WAN
Advanced knowledge in VMware virtual systems, SQL, Oracle
Advanced knowledge in Cisco/UCS infrastructure, cloud environments, ERP (IBS)
Strong interpersonal skills (verbal, written and presentation) The position requires a lot of customer interaction including meetings, presentations and documentation
Strong knowledge of IT Disaster Recovery Professional Practices and/or Data
Center Operational environments
5+ years Enterprise Architect with a strong IT Disaster Recovery
BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Advanced Enterprise Architect Certifications from an industry recognized certification board
JOB OVERVIEW
Candidate will design various DR risk mitigating solutions and strategies, such as data replication, data storage, network analysis, security products, firewalls, switches, etc.
Assist the DR Team with risk mitigation efforts to enhance the overall DR Program. This individual will work closely with Enterprise Architect Area and DR Project managers helping to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective operational processes and services. They will also assist in DR architect design and implementation.
Maintains broad expert level knowledge of Enterprise Architecture
Maintains advanced level knowledge of data replication and storage software/hardware at the server, database and SAN to SAN levels
Ability to assess requirements for DR replication, failover, failback environments, offer solution options and recommendation, setup proof of concept testing and solution bakeoff, technical diagrams and documentation, assist with implementation of technology in Prod and DR, monitor, report and resolve replication / storage issues
Maintains advanced level knowledge of networking enterprise class hardware including OC48 circuits, LAN, WAN, VPN, IPS, etc.
Support replication for various VMware virtual systems, SQL, Oracle,
Maintains advanced level knowledge of Cisco UCS infrastructure / cloud environments/ VMWare environments
Develops technical documentation of systems for disaster recovery.
