We have a great opportunity for an Endpoint Information Security Engineer for Wells Fargo s implementation of Malware protection technologies that serve to protect the company s systems, networks, and confidential data. This is a key position with the Endpoint Security Engineering team, within Information Security Technologies (IST). Position can be located in any primary Wells Fargo & Co. location (US only). The person selected for this position will provide excellent customer service skills and become a subject matter expertise for Wells Fargo's implementation of endpoint security solutions. This includes Anti-Virus, Personal Firewall, Intrusion Prevention, as well as other endpoint security solutions and tools. Provides engineering support to complete processes (e.g. change management, problem resolution, etc.) and tasks (e.g. project management) required to manage the endpoint security solutions. Responsible for the back-end infrastructure (server and replication health, live update), client software (OS and application configuration, etc.), and policies for the enterprise platform image builds. Requires phone and desk-side support experience. Is accountable for escalated issues and collaborates with other 3rd level technical support teams and vendors. Prepares well written documentation for the help-desk and end users. Provides reports and metrics to the team and management. Identifies issues and suggests solutions to improve the implementations of endpoint security technologies. The ability to set and achieve individual goals, and great interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Will participate in DR/BCP, audit, software and asset certification, change and problem management. On call required, flexible schedule during large roll-outs/deployments of client software or infrastructure upgrades.
Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in security applications and systems.
Minimum Qualifications: 5+ years of enterprise desktop and/or server experience managing end-to-end systems or applications. That should include a minimum of 3 years with a security technology. Must have a good understanding of enterprise security solutions to ensure the security computers and confidential data. Experienced in formal engineering disciplines, such as IELC or SDLC, and hands-on experience with managing server and/or appliance infrastructure, supporting client software, and all phases of engineering lifecycles. Superior customer service skills as the position will require interaction with, end-users, managers, senior technical engineers, and line of business technology partners. Exceptional troubleshooting skills with Windows Operating systems, and Desktop Applications, specifically with client software. Must know Windows operating system fundamentals (Authentication, File system, Registry, Network, User Profiles, etc). Experience with endpoint protection applications, e.g. antivirus, personal firewalls, intrusion prevention. Knowledge of networking, TCP/IP fundamentals and 802.1x technologies. Understanding of Active Directory (machine/user objects, Organizational Units, group policy processing, etc). Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to grasp new technologies quickly.
Preferred Skills: Wells Fargo Systems experience (PAC 2000 change and problem management) Experience with enterprise desktop support groups (EUC/Technologies Connections) and supporting base components for Wells Fargo images (WFDC/COE, EUC Platform Engineering, Core support, and Packaging for enterprise deployment ) Scripting skills (vbscript, powershell, perl, python) Metrics reporting (SQL, report/chart generation, data analysis) in-depth Application and Operating System troubleshooting (i.e. Syinternals Tools, WinDbg, blue-screen analysis). Network analysis experience (Wireshark, Netmon, or TCPDump), Experience supporting remote access. CISSP, industry, or vendor certifications that are related to network or computer security solutions are a plus.
