SUMMARY

Develops, implements and supports Internal Online Help Desk System.  Plans, maintains supporting networked resources.  Oversees control and change management, deployment execution and workflow of OHDS systems and maintains a broad understanding of IT.

 

DUTIES

 

* System Design/Configuration/Administration; Site and workflow creation, Form Design, Business logic/workflow, user training, user/role/group provisioning and maintenance, backup, restore, issue resolution, and managing system configuration
* Maintain, support and back-up SQL environment related to OHDS
* Plans, gathers and clearly documents the business needs (requirements) of IT and stakeholders.
* Should be able to create and define business, functional and application architecture designs as per business requirements.
* Optimize system performance, security and storage utilization and planning ahead for necessary hardware or software upgrades to support the environment.
* Design, implement, manage and maintain MS Active Directory forest throughout company
* Monitors usage, capacity, and performance of systems; liaises with users and/or vendors to address problems and changes in requirements.
* Maintains system documentation, including licenses, user manuals, hardware and software inventory, security listings, and the like.
* Performing quality assurance testing and facilitate user acceptance testing.
* Assist (as necessary) in gathering and documenting user and process requirements.
* Provides technical guidance and direction to less experienced staff.   
* Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Perform other duties as required.
Required Skills

Qualifications/Skills/Abilities - Minimum Requirements

Formal Education:  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering  and/or Telecommunications or comparable work experience in the field

Experience (type & duration):  5 years related IT experience

Skills:  Web Technologies: XML, SAML/SPML/SOAP, .NET, IIS

Database: MS SQL Server 2005 and above

Directory: Active Directory, LDAP

     

 

Qualifications/Skills/Abilities-Preferred  Requirements

Experience (type & duration):  Experience with Cherwell or other IT Service Management solution.

Working knowledge using a report writer such as Crystal Reports or SQL Server Reporting Services required.

Working knowledge of ITIL.

Strong analytical, process-oriented, evaluative and problem-solving abilities.

Skills:   Strong written and verbal communication skills.  Active Directory Required.  SQL Server is preferred.
