GLOBAL SERVICES MANAGER sought by the TESA Division of Hexagon Metrology in North Kingstown, RI. TESA manufactures and markets more than 5,000 dimensional metrology products ranging from high precision hand-held tools to sophisticated measuring systems, CMM products and vision systems for non-contact measurement. A worldwide direct sales distribution network is one of the major assets of the company whose primary industries are in the automotive, aerospace, watch-making, medical and metal processing sectors.The GLOBAL SERVICES MANAGER will develop and manage the product definition, branding, promotion, sales training and support and pricing of TESA's instrument service contracts, productized training programs and professional services, and will manage TESA's OEM/3rd party partners that support or deliver services. He/she will be responsible for achieving targeted revenue and for managing certain key elements of the customer experience including customer on-boarding, online service and e-commerce portals. He/she will conduct, analyze and report market research and measurements of customer loyalty to executive staff. As part of the Global Markets Team, which includes Field Service, Field Applications, Technical Support, Commercial Training, Customer Service and Sales Support and Product Support, he or she will work closely with other departments including Marketing, Sales and Finance.RESPONSIBILITIES:*Developing products, trainings, and materials for extended service contracts, warranty and intervention trainings and professional services that add significant value to customers and enhance the perceived value of TESA's instruments.*Forcasting and achieving revenue and profitability targets for instrument service contracts, productized training programs and professional services.*Planning and delivering a superior customer service experience including on-boarding, optimal use of efficient and effective support channels and long-term customer satisfaction and loyalty.*Providing guidance and input on the development and improvement of online customer portals and support resources.*Conducting market research including customer and market surveys, focus groups, internal interviews and other measures of support and training effectiveness.*Developing marketing and sales materials and establish product specifications (service level commitments) in collaboration with the appropriate departments.*Driving commercial and operational infrastructure to optimize the tracking, reporting and interpretation of key business analytics.*Providing intelligence on competitive products and services.*Providing training to sales and support staff on appropriate positioning, selling strategies and tactics.*Collaborating with the Marketing Communications group to develop product messaging that can be positioned position in the market place and implementing tactical programs.*Travel globally around 50%.QUALIFICATIONS:*B.S. in Business/Marketing.*6+ years relevant experience in Product Management, Service Management, Business Unit Management or Business Development.*Experience selling or marketing Metrology instruments and/or services or running a comparable business segment or unit.*Experience presenting to sales, customers and executives*Willing to work in an ever-changing environment.*Strong written and verbal English language communication skills, and German language skills would be an asset.*Excellent communication and team management skills.*Ability to work as a member of a multifunctional team.*Experience, training or certification in market research, net promoter, or customer experience strongly preferred.*MBA preferred.*Knowledge of or experience in the Metrology or related industry preferred.*Previous experience in setting up an international global service structure with success highly desired.We strive to attract the best and brightest because a vital element to our success is our people!
