The Engineering Business Unit provides a variety of support services related to the maintenance and life cycle sustainment of US Navy, US Coast Guard and Customs and Border Patrol fielded C5I systems. We are focused on the design, systems engineering, project management, procurement, installation, training, testing, and field maintenance of these systems. In addition, our staff provides Hull, Mechanical and Electrical, as well as Weapons Systems design and installation support services, primarily for US Navy vessels. We are geographically dispersed with operations at numerous US Naval ports.

Job Description:
Installs new software releases and system upgrades. Evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems. Performs system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relat ed area and 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under limited supervision.  Typicall y reports to a project leader or manager. A certain degree of creativity and l atitude is required. This position works with Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) in support of their Microsoft SharePoint Program. Specifically this position will be working with the EIM Server Team providing customer support for SharePoint issues and maintaining the server farm that supports the SharePoint environment. This environment includes a multitude of Web Servers, SQL Servers, and Storage Servers. The servers are configured in a load balanced and clustered groups. The infrastructure includes both physical and virtual servers.This individual will install, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain the server farm to include a test suite of equipment that replicates the server farm. They will provide application support and subject matter expertise for SharePoint in support of the SharePoint help desk. The servers are routinely maintained remotely with periodic visits to the server site for preventative and touch maintenance. This individual will need a strong background in trouble shooting AD issues, Cluster Issues, Load Balancing Issues, Backup and recovery issues, aswell as patching requirements and issues.The ideal candidate will havea background as a Microsoft System Administrator with a focus on AD, Clusters, Load Balancing, and SharePoint. They will be able to perform SharePoint System Administration, Network Security, Configuration Management, and Database Management.Required Skills:Expert Knowledge of MS Active Directory AdministrationStrong Knowledge of SQL 2005 Database Management Strong Knowledge of AF Configuration Management requirementsDemonstrated capability to use MS Visio, MS Power Point, MS Word, and MS AccessDemonstrated ability to multitaskExcellent telephone communicationskillsSecurity+, GSEC, SCNP or SSCP certification a must

Required Skills and Experience:

A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Work is generally performed in a normal office environment where there is minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions. Job assignments may require working at client site where working conditions may vary. Travel may be required. The successful candidate for this position will have a demonstrated ability to trouble shoot problems with Microsoft load balanced clustered servers network equipment. This individual will have a strong knowledge SharePoint. This individual will have experience managing Microsoft SQL in a clustered environment. This individual will have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft System Administration skills. This individual will have a strong knowledge of Virtual Server builds and management. This individual will have demonstrated Helpdesk support experience. This individual will have strong demonstrated trouble shooting skills.

2-4 years equivalent experience with BS/BA
