System Administrator II to join the Modeling and Simulation Team in support ofexciting and critical Missile Defense programs associated with Schriever AFB.System Administrator to perform the following responsibilities: install /rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services,settings, directories, storage, etc. in aWindows environment in accordance with standards and project/operationalrequirements; perform Windows Server management to include installation,maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting to support hardware,software, and associated tools on an isolated development network; developand maintain installation and configuration procedures; repair and recoverfrom hardware or software failures; coordinate and communicate with impactedconstituents; perform regular application installations, configurations,and day-to-day administration on Windows platform; troubleshoot hardware andsoftware issues as they arise; perform daily system monitoring, verifyingthe integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systemsand key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifyingcompletion of scheduled jobs such as backups; administer and update WindowsSoftware Update Services (WSUS - OS Update Delivery Solution); assistwith tear down, set up, upgrade, relocate and track computer systemsthroughout M.and.S; support IA security by running scans, analyzingresults, and remediating findings; create, change, and delete useraccounts perduties may include maintaining inventory databases, tracking softwarerenewals, documenting system configurations, and creating engineeringdiagrams.Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in IT or related engineeringdiscipline and at least five years working as a systems administrator in an MSWindows environment. Experience with Windows operating systems. Ability towork effectively in a team environment and display flexibility andadaptability when faced with adversity.
