Key Responsibilities Manage the Quality Assurance Department and Quality processes to ensure the quality manufacture of products to meet customer requirements at optimum use and cost of facilities in order to meet the profit and return on investment goals of the Delaware Plant. Principle Accountabilities- Manage, Solvent/Waterborne Dispersion Lab, Sciences, Product Global Alignment. Quality Assurance 1. Ensure the health and safety of employees and the public, as well as minimizing the environmental impacts by promoting the value of orderly and clean facilities, building employee awareness, sound programs, and compliance with the spirit and letter of the law. 2. Ensure attainment of Quality performance (and achieve the Quality image to which PPG aspires), by decreasing SSPL, customer complaints and/or returns, and improving attitudes and programs throughout the organization. 3. Meet requirements of the customers as measured by appropriate attainment of service goals and feedback from customers, marketing and sales, through achievement of needed production, delivery and quality levels. 4. Increase the organization's total productivity by effective cost control, improvements in processing, and effective management of all assets. 5. Ensure the viability and growth of the Quality Assurance organization by appropriate employee involvement processes, development and improvement of managerial relationships, skills, subordinate training opportunities, identification and resolution of personnel deficiencies, compliance to all regulatory and legal standards, and appropriate self-development. 6. Contribute to a safe, efficient work environment at the Delaware Plant by working closely with the Safety, Production and all other departments in the use of the quality Improvement Process to solve plant safety, environmental, production and efficiency concerns. 7. Comply with all Federal, state and local environmental regulations and corporate policies and procedures relating to safety, health and environmental issues and makes recommendations to ensure the highest standards for safety and environmental practices at the Delaware Plant. 8. 10% Travel Experience and Education Requires: * Bachelor Degree and minimum 5 years experience in technology development or related field. * Professionalism - required to interact with both internal and external customers and suppliers. * Preferred - Previous managerial experience.
