DESCRIPTION
The position is for an Oracle DBA with over 5 years of experience in Oracle database management, with an emphasis on supporting development team with schema builds, object management, and performance tuning.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* The position is not an Operation DBA, less than 20 percent of the work will relate to operational DBA activity, such as installs, patching, upgrades, instance tuning, and RMAN backup/recovery.
* Understanding of relational concepts is necessary and experience with data modeling using ER Studio is preferred.
* This position requires on-call support for production and critical database systems.
* Collaboration with development team, system operations, QA team, and Operational DBA is essential to the success of the individual.
* This individual will be a self-starter with the desire to embrace new database technologies, work in a high demand, and dynamic environment.
REQUIREMENTS
* Oracle 11g database management
* Oracle 11g new feature usage or concepts
* Comprehensive knowledge of Oracle database architect
* Experience with tablespace, flashback log, undo, redo and archive log management
* Flashback Technologies (Database, Table, Query, Restore Points)
* Expert level SQL coding experience
* SQL Plan Management
* SQL Profiles
* SQL Performance Tuning
* Compression Techniques (Basic/OLTP)
* Table Paritioning
* Datapump utilities
* PL/SQL
* Unix Shell Scripting
* Oracle OEM Grid
* Oracle DDL Management (table, index, views, functions, procedures, dblinks, constraints, sequences)
* RMAN backup and recovery
* ASM
* Experience with database alert log management
* Automatic Workload Repository (AWR)
* Automatic Database Diagnostic Management (ADDM)
* Understanding of RAC architect
* Understanding of Oracle Dataguard
