DESCRIPTION
The Senior or Lead Developer will report to the Director of Enterprise Development and will be responsible for design, development, maintenance and support of mission-critical Java enterprise applications, including ICE Trade Vault and ICE eConfirm.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Contribute to the design and development of a high-volume enterprise messaging application
* Support and enhance multiple mission-critical enterprise applications
* Write unit and integration tests for new and legacy code
* Take initiative and work independently on some projects while contributing to a large team on others
* Collaborate with QA team to ensure quality production code
* Provide second-tier production support for 24/7 applications.
REQUIREMENTS
* 5-10 years experience with core Java and Java EE
* Bachelor 's degree in Engineering or related field
* Dedication to test-driven development
* Understanding of distributed transactions
* Experience in concurrent and distributed programming
* Practical knowledge of Java application servers (JBoss, Tomcat)
* First-hand experience with enterprise messaging (IBM WebSphere MQ or equivalent)
* Beneficial:
* Financial industry expertise
* Comprehension of Spring Framework
* Experience with Agile development methodologies
* Prior hands-on work with Adobe Flex
* Knowledge of Maven
