Summary

The Capacity Planning Analyst (CPA) is responsible for analyzing demand and operational capabilities. This analysis is used by the CPA to develop and maintain the master schedule. The master schedule provides operational guidance to supply chain management, satellite planning, production and delivery teams. Sales, finance and product management teams will use the backlog and funnel data provided in the master schedule as a reference while performing their functions.

CPAs bring cross functional factory teams together to devise cost effective solutions. CPAs use their thorough knowledge of operation capabilities to assist sales with bringing opportunities to closure quickly and in a manner that is fully supportable by the factory.

Responsibilities

* Integrate demand with factory capabilities to support corporate revenue initiatives.
* Maintain the master schedule and communicate collection and production goals.
* Recommend solutions, develop cost summaries and create implementation plans for new sales opportunities.
* Perform collection feasibilities for large or complex opportunities (i.e. capacity models)
* Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in support of special projects as assigned.
* Facilitate cross-functional team meetings as required to support ongoing operations and potential opportunities.
* Prepare and present capacity analysis and project status to internal and external stakeholders
* Manage deadlines
* Provide back-up support for other Tasking and Planning Management Teams
* Continual process improvement

Requirements

* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
* Strong GIS background. Scripting skills desired.
* Background in satellite planning systems and processes
* Background in project management
* Hold or ability to obtain a TS/SCI US Government clearance
* Ability to provide on-call support during evenings, weekends and holidays

Skills and Experience

* ArcMap or other GIS applications; STK and remote sensing applications
* Project Management / Program Management skills
* Ability to communicate in a clear and diplomatic manner
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment
* Familiarity with internal processes / infrastructure (system and personnel)
* Familiarity with DigitalGlobe products
* Proven problem solving skills
* Ability to manage and status multiple projects
