Position Description:
Seeking an UX Designer with the ability to design information-rich user interfaces for complex domains in a fast-paced environment. The ideal individual for this position is creative, self-directed, a team player, and passionate about user experience. The User Experience Designer will assist in efforts to understand the underlying UX/UI issues and make informed recommendations to influence the information architecture, optimize task flow, look and feel, and build interactive prototypes for proposed design concepts.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualizes, designs and assists with implementing highly engaging and intuitive user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) solutions
- Develops and maintains design mockups, usage scenarios, prototype specifications, navigation maps, wireframes, and design documents
- Drives the development and communication of UX design guidelines, patterns, and libraries for use across the product suite
- Collaborates with Product Management, Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams
- Develops test scenarios and executes usability testing to validate and refine prototypes
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience creating user experience/interface design and front-end development for web applications
- BS or MS in design, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience
- Proven experience in UX on projects with an exceptional portfolio showcasing innovative design solutions
- Experience with responsive web design
- Mobile UX Experience (iOS, Android)
- Proficiency in industry-standard graphic design tools
- Strong knowledge of current web development languages such as HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript
- Well-versed in fundamental visual and interactive design architecture disciplines and principles
- Very strong communication skills, both written and oral, with natural ability to articulate and defend design decisions
Optional Requirements
- Enterprise Software UX Experience a plus
- Knowledge of developing for accessibility and experience with Section 508 guidelines a plus
