Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a Stamping Tool Engineer opening to join our Tulsa, OK Manufacturing organization.

**_Summary_**
The Tooling Engineer is responsible for developing new tooling methods, building innovative tools and revamping tooling standards to reduce production costs. Researching new suppliers and tooling concepts is required. Project scheduling to test new tools and processes is part of the job.

**_Day to Day (what a typical day or week looks like in this role)_**
The Tooling Engineer will be accountable to acquire and manage the associated capital tooling for new products from conception through to formal production handoff. The Tooling Engineer will also be accountable for supporting new product integration by providing manufacturing expertise to each of the key functions.
* Specifying through implementation, FPA, and start-up of new tooling in manufacturing operations.
* Continue to monitor and improve dies currently running in the operation.
* Improving speed in which we deliver winning products to the marketplace.
* Leading projects and special assignments as required.
* Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports.
* Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, possible new applications and necessity of modification.
* Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
* Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products using drafting tools or computer-assisted design (CAD) or drafting equipment and software.
* Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, or other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, or maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
* Write performance requirements for product development or engineering projects.
* Provide feedback to design engineers on customer problems or needs.
* Estimate costs and submit bids for engineering, construction, or extraction projects, and prepare contract documents.
* Solicit new business and provide technical customer service.
* Process requests for tool repairs and engineering changes.

Qualifications
**_Qualifications -_****_What You Need To Succeed_**
* BSME, BSMET or equivalent.
* 4+ years of stamping experience.
* Understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
* Strong interpersonal and team building skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
* Excellent project management skills
* In-depth knowledge of fabrication, tooling and related manufacturing processes such as complex fabrication lines/cells that contain forming, piercing, bending, joining, etc.
* Ability to translate component GD&T; into tooling designs so that critical interfaces are assured.
* Experience in new product introductions, including the direct planning and acquisition of the associated capital tooling.
* Hands on experience working in a heavily automated production environment is desired.
* Must have a demonstrated history of gathering input from key stakeholders and gaining their buy-in.
* Must have a demonstrated history of success working in a matrix managed environment.
* Must have demonstrated success in translating technical concepts to commonly used business language.
* Creative and progressive thinking is required to be a competent tooling engineer.
* Good communication skills enable the engineer to exchange tooling ideas with project managers, cost estimators and process engineers.
* In-depth knowledge of large-scale production and manufacturing is necessary.
* Experience as a machinist or supervisor of automated systems is preferred. Industry-specific background is a plus
