We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.Job Purpose:Haul rock products; to include fine and course aggregate, riprap andboulders; to and from job sites for both internal and customer projects.Perform other related duties as assigned.Duties and Responsibilities: Hauling rock using end dumps and belly dumps. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with regulatoryguidelines. Maintain Hours of Service logs (when required) accurate and up to date. Identify and ensure write-ups of defective equipment on trucks. Check all load related paper work prior to movement of load to ensurecompleteness and accuracy. Ensure professional and safe operation of vehicles while on customerproperty and over the road. Clean truck interior as needed. Wash truck/trailer exterior as needed. Perform minor maintenance functions on trucks as needed while on the road. Drive any and all vehicles as needed including those with manual andautomatic transmissions. Inspect, use and maintain various personal protection equipment. Work in a variety of environments including, remediation projectsites, chemical plants, hot and cold weather and noisy environments, etc. Responsible for his/her own on the job safety and work quality. Additional tasks may be requested as needed to meet overallobjectives.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS Driver experience (5 years minimum) Must be thoroughly familiar with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Must be able to work with little guidance and supervision. Clean driving record. Must possess CDL Class A. Tanker and hazmat endorsements a plus. Possess current MSHA training certifications (new miner and 8 hr.refresher) Must be familiar with road and bridge restrictions and how to obtain theinformation.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must pass DOT physical for operation of commercial motor vehicles. Able to stand, sit and walk for long periods of time. Able to bend at the waist to reach within 6" of the ground and reachoverhead. Able to climb ladders and stairs without difficulty. Must have manual dexterity sufficient for use of small hand tools,operation of manual tarp system on trailers, handling of small parts(e.g. nuts/bolts), and working with hands at various positions (e.g.overhead, front, low). No psychological or physical impairments that may present a safety riskto the employee and co-workers. Able to lift, carry, push and pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.with another employee s assistance. Must be able to work in varying temperature conditions, and at heightsin excess of 13 feet. Good vision and hearing. Drug free.
