Our Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions are expanding the Construction Management team by hiring experienced **Commissioning Technicians**foropportunities in the **Baltimore/DC Metro area**. We service a wide variety of clients and work in multiple arenas including: Water Resources, Bridges, Dams, Highway/Transit, Wastewater, and Facilities/Vertical Construction. Commissioning Technicians will have the opportunity to participate in multi-discipline projects, develop and expand their skill sets, while working side-by-side with senior Construction Management staff.
Responsibilities:
* Inspection of mechanical, electrical and security systems
* Perform testing of equipment by following documented testing procedures such as Pre-Functional Tests (PFT’s) and Functional Performance Tests (FPT’s)
* Review of commissioning startup documentation
* Coordination and verification of project As-Built drawings
* Timely tracking and resolution of identified project issues
* Design vs. Installation review of various mechanical and electrical systems
* Daily interaction with client representatives, management team and various contractors
* Produce field reports to be distributed to the project team
* Ability to travel up to 3 days a week to remote projects with the potential for overnight stays
* Maintain a professional work environment and positive company image
* Associates degree in a technical field or minimum 5 years related experience
* Have a basic familiarity with Building Management Systems
* Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Experience is a plus
* Commissioning certification preferred or be able to gain certification within 6 months
* Experience with HVAC equipment start-up, operation and troubleshooting. Systems may include; Boilers, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Compressed Air, Lab Gas
* Clear and concise communication skills both verbally and via email
* Have a proactive approach to solving basic to complex problems
* Ability to use various hand held instruments
* Proficient with MS Office applications
* Ability to work independently or in a team environment effectively
* Excellent organizational skills
* Must be a US citizen or Permanent Legal Resident
