BASIC FUNCTION: This position is responsible for analyzing and resolving production problems for the organizations analytic and operational data stores (Enterprise Data Warehouse and Data Marts, Master Data Management, and Operational Data Store) being populated through our data movement and integration platform and processes. This would include analysis of ticket incidents and formulating an escalation path for their resolution. Proactively manage assigned area of quality to demonstrate ongoing reduction in issues to goals established. Provide input into design of future solutions with primary focus on balancing, controls and quality measures. The role will also assist in the creation of quality dashboards, by Portfolio, that highlights root cause owner of the issue and repository. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS *Leverage his/her technical aptitude over a large scope of ETL & Data Warehouse software, hardware, and networking disciplines with a focus on business Data Analysis and Data Integration Solutions. *Monitor, report and resolve data quality issues in Production for source and solution issues. Interpret data and data integration mapping documents based on findings *Perform root cause analysis on problematic queries and ETL jobs. Will have demonstrable skills utilizing an ETL tool (DataStage, Informatica,, MicroSoft SSIS, Flume) & advanced SQL skills, this includes the ability to perform root cause analysis on problematic queries and ETL jobs. *Design, develop, test, debug, implement and maintain ETL workflows, shell scripts, and stored procedures to support new solution development *Creates and maintains an issues log for the project and makes sure that the appropriate resources are engaged to correct reported issues, includes the performance and quality monitoring of production ETL *Create and design a set of quality measures that can be used to monitor the health of our analytic applications. This would include the collaboration with IT & Business to provide required data reports and dashboards. *Ensure standards & processes are followed including documented ETL design, mappings and specifications as projects are transitioned from a new development to an operational support state JOB REQUIREMENTS: *Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Business or related degree and 3 years experience in Information Technology *Have a high degree of technical aptitude over a large scope of ETL & Data Warehouse software, hardware, and networking disciplines with a focus on Business Data Analysis and Data Integration Solutions. *Demonstrated ability to be forward thinking with a high degree of customer service focus and excellent communication skills. *Advanced knowledge of an enterprise ETL tool (DataStage, Informatica,, MicroSoft SSIS, Flume) and its administration is a plus *Experienced in the data quality assurance process of verifying the reliability and efficiency of data in an analytic application. *Demonstrated ability in maintaining successful data warehousing implementations as well as a broad background and experience with IT application development *Must understand data, data relationships at the table and attribute level. *Perform Gap analysis and impact analysis on any changes that are being suggested. *Possesses working knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and data warehouse, including full reference architecture from data integration, through semantic layer and reporting. *Ability to multi-task across multiple projects within different repository contexts *Extensive hands-
