The Associate will be a key partner for all GLG business segment leads in designing, developing and implementing dashboards, and developing business intelligence to drive accelerated revenue growth of GLG, which is also critical for Board of Director meetings. This individual will also lead modeling and financial analysis in support of cash flow and capital structure planning and valuation. The role will report to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;) and involves significant exposure to and interaction with top management, including the CFO and CEO, and requires that the candidate demonstrate leadership, maturity and ability to self direct.

We are seeking a strong self starter with successful analytical, financial analysis, strategic and technical background with a proven work ethic and an entrepreneurial edge. This person will be able to develop and monitor thoughtful business intelligence, analytical frameworks and ongoing reporting to evaluate performance of business and growth acceleration strategies.

* Lead modeling and financial analysis in support of cash flow and capital structure planning and valuation and assist with the development and evolution of mid and long range business plans.
* Design, develop and implement ad hoc and ongoing dashboards, metrics and KPIs for business decision support and Board of Directors.
* Support Head of FPA in designing, compiling and producing and all internal and Board of Directors presentations.
* Hands on financial and business modeling through analysis and melding of internally developed and outsourced data for senior management and Board of Directors.
* Partner with the data analytics team to develop action-oriented business intelligence tools that inform key decisions around growth and investment within each business.
* Perform other ad-hoc analysis and modeling based on evolving business needs.

* Work experience, ideally in FP&A;, investment banking, transaction advisory or other highly analytical role
* 3 to 6 years work experience
* Experience with Salesforce.com and business intelligence tools (Tableau) preferred, but not required.
* Analytic creativity, insight and agility with strong technical skills.
* Devotion to accuracy, detail, analytic consistency and data integrity.
* Strong communication skills (written and oral) and the ability to work with a team in pressure situations.
* Ability and initiative to handle increasing responsibility over time.
* Solid knowledge of the financial markets, public and private.
* Advanced use of Microsoft Office products including MS Excel and MS Powerpoint
