Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems Sector – Baltimore Security Business Division - Systems Security Group seeks aContractor Program Security Officer (Band 3)to join its team. This position supports restricted work programs.
This position is located in Linthicum, MD.
This position performs the following work responsibilities:
- Provides day-to-day security oversight of several Special Access Programs within a multi-disciplinary environment
- Provides development and over sight of all aspects of program security, including security for information systems
- Performs all aspects of program security, Concepts of Operations, Personnel Security, Indoctrinations and Debriefings,
Standard Operating Procedures, and coordination with customer Program Security Officers, as well as sub-contractor
security representatives
- Development, preparation, implementation, and coordination of complex security plans.
Specifically:
- Conducts inventory of accountable computer hardware and track in internal database
- Tracks accountable incoming/outgoing packages, using internal database (SIMS)
- Conducts program briefings and/or de-briefings as required
- Assists Information Security with sanitization process for computer systems
- Processes and generate Visit Certifications as needed
- Creates and maintains security database’s on special programs
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent: will consider High School and 14 or more years of related experience or Associates Degree and 11 or more years of related experience.
- With Bachelors Degree a minimum of 6 years professional working experience as a Contractor Program Security Officer is required; will consider Bachelors Degree and equivalent years and type of related security experience.
- Must possess an active and current Top Secret SSBI government security clearance
- Must be an experienced security professional with strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to adapt in a highly charged and challenging work environment
- Must possess an understanding of advanced technology security integration processes and a complete understanding of DOD and National Intelligence Agency Security requirements are required.
- Must be able to work closely with government executives, security counterparts, program directors, and executives within other defense industry partners to ensure successful execution of program activity.
- Must also be customer and team oriented and able to function with limited supervision and must have excellent verbal
and written communications skills required.
- Some travel is required.
