Program Engineer - Advance Programs

Department: TEAS
Location: Fort Walton Beach, FL
Qualis Corporation is seeking a Program Engineer to support the TEAS contract at Eglin Air Force Base, FL. The Program Engineer will be responsible identifying and coordinating 96th TW assets to support Program Office test requirements.

Responsibilities

* Reviews initial test requests, provides ROM, writes initial contacts (IC), drafts/coordinates AF Form 813s, computes statements of capability (SOC), manages program finances through JOCAS, coordinates annual funding requirements with program offices, conducts progress meetings, reviews safety and technical support documents for accuracy and completeness, coordinates/oversees range target construction projects, formulates photo/optics coverage plans, coordinates range security, provides final test directives (TD), conducts testing. Submits test missions through CSE for various Program Office TDs involving 96 TW ground and air missions.
* Coordinates test requirements with aircraft schedulers and maintenance personnel for both local flights and off-station deployments.
* Works with range personnel to construct and maintain critical test support assets over the land ranges.
* May perform other duties as assigned.
Experience and Education

* Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field required.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience working with weapons development of testing required.
* Ability to interface with prime weapons system contractors and the System Program Office (SPO) regarding test objectives, schedules, budgets, and Methods of Test (MOT) is required.
* Must have experience with DoD range operations, range and flight safety, scheduling, and airspace use.
* Ability to help develop Rough Order of Magnitude cost estimates, and Statements of Capability.
* Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
* Must be able to work effectively as part of a test team, and to lead and direct the work of others.
* Must be proficient in the use and integration of Microsoft Office applications required.
* Previous test engineering experience preferred.
* Must be able to provide clear, concise, and accurate communication.
* Must work well with customers, supervisors, and coworkers and able to receive supervision.
* Must be able to work effectively alone, unsupervised or in groups.
* Requires punctuality for scheduled duty hours.
* Grooming and dress must be professional, appropriate for the position, and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or to others.
* Must be able to work flexible and varied hours.
Travel

* 5% travel requirement.
* Must be able to rent and operate a rental car while TDY.
Clearance

* Active Secret Clearance required.
* Clearance background investigation within the last four years required.
* Must be eligible for and able to maintain an Active Top Secret/SSBI Clearance.
