Responsible for creating business reviews, performing ad hoc analysis as needed by the Competency Center. Primary responsibilities include maintaining vertical account pricing, reporting, and account maintenance.Major ResponsibilitiesMaintain Master Vertical Accounts list, monitor account setups and settings to ensure proper business functions are alligned. Communicate changes to new accounts, so that flags and settings can be adjusted as it relates to the Bill tos, freight plans, Price plans etc.Create customer business reports and analysis using database query tools. Perform ABC costing analysis of customer profitability. Prepare competitor analyses to ensure the Vertical Sector BDM can have all levers to deploy when discussing options with the Account.Manage Non Disclosure Agreements and Program Agreements generated for different opportunities within the vertical sector and other accounts as required.Partner with Inventory Team to monitor inventory levels by analyzing the weekly inventory reports. Provide suggestions to alleviate any business impacts to major Vertical Sector accounts.Manage product adds and deletes impact to our Accounts. Provide guidance to the Pricing team by account on what items need to be added or deleted from price plans. Activities include communicating plan to appropriate internal and external parties. (US Communities, State of Texas) Coordinating activities across the enterprise customer service order management, purchasing activities, product administration item settings etc..Act as a point of contact for US Communities for quarterly price changes, while partnering with our Orbit Point team and Analytics group. Coordinate resolution activities for issues as identified. Act as a point of contact and expert for US Communities members when necessary and for AHI enterprises.Understands and demonstrates United Stationers' Core Values.Performs other duties as assignedSkills/Knowledge Required* General knowledge of various functional areas ideal. Specifically: distribution, customer service, procurement, pricing, and Merchandising.* Strong problem solving skills. Able to trouble shoot a problem and identify a solution that meets Account objectives and Vertical Sector abilities and financial needs.* Able to multitask in a fast paced customer focused environment.* Solid communication skills written and verbal* Experience working independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.* Financial and business analysis background/knowledge.* Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills* Experience using financial data warehouses such as ABC, Hyperion etc.* Prior work providing financial support of sales or marketing organizations* Understanding of pricing strategies* Education and Experience* Bachelors Degree required in business, finance, accounting or marketing.* 2-5 years work experience in accounting, finance, business analysis, customer service, or sales.* Prior experience with Government Contracts or contracts in general is a plus.
