**POSITION SUMMARY:**
This position is responsible for executing a wide variety of field engineering projects in industrial biomass and renewable energy based combustion processes, energy recovery, power generation, steam boilers, thermal oil systems and industrial heating/drying industries
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Field work including on site evaluations, inspections of Plant & Process Based Heat & Material Balances.
+ Identify and diagnose problems with little information remotely and on location. Problem-solving may include resolving mechanical/software issues; resolving operating system bugs; and reinstalling software or hardware
+ Complete related service reports and documentation in a timely manner
+ Verify the operation and performance of the equipment and compliance with manufacturers specifications
+ Make recommendations to the customer for improved operation and performance of the equipment
+ Reviewing control system designs with customer team
+ Provide on-site and remote support for installed systems requiring technical service assistance, including support on legacy systems
+ Perform Combustion Calculations/Analysis
+ Provide Engineering Support and oversite for the following:
-Evaluation/Design of Industrial Heating Processes
-Industrial Boilers and Steam Generation
-Thermal Oil Based Energy Generation & Process Heating
-Plant Design & Layout
-P&ID Development
-Process/Plant Controls Description Generation
-Piping Design
-Plant Equipment Design/Specification
+ Report and escalate issues to senior managers as needed.
+ Successfully manage relationships with client and stakeholders.
+ Provide support to assure safe, quality products produced and services rendered at the highest possible standards and at the lowest possible costs.
+ Assist Field Services personnel with equipment startup and troubleshooting activities.
+ Ensures project deadlines are achieved.
+ Operates under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent action.
+ Informs appropriate internal personnel of any problems or concerns expressed by customers.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES)
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar related degree).
+ 5-7 years progressive field engineering experience preferably in similar industry
+ Proficient in MS Office. (SolidWorks or AutoCAD software experience preferable)
+ Strong fundamental knowledge of mechanical design and its application in automation industrial designs including specification
+ Critical thinking with exceptional problem solving skills, able to work independently or in team environment.
+ Efficiently organize and plan work tasks to meet company goals.
+ Excellent writing, editing, communication and interpersonal skills required.
+ Possess excellent organizational and time management skills
+ Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
+ Able to give and follow complex directions
+ Possess strong interpersonal skills
+ Able to work independently with minimal supervision
+ Able to work effectively with co-workers, subordinates and supervisors and customers.
**WORK ENVIRONMENT**
+ Job will generally require travel to Client’s office, production facility or industrial/construction job site but also require work be performed in an office environment.
+ Position is administered in an extremely fluid, fast paced fashion with multiple high-priority demands
