The Global Supply Chain Analyst position is currently a career ladder position for Chevron Oronite Company. This position is responsible for supply chain optimization, modeling and analysis as well as project and strategy implementation support.

Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Global Supply Chain Analyst located in San Ramon, CA through September 17, 2014 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).
Position Details: *Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:*

1. Primary purpose is to optimize Oronite's global supply chain. Global supply chain optimization includes:
2. Analyze global manufacturing capacity utilization and develop strategies to optimally balance production and complexity in order to maximize global profit after tax (PAT).
3. Identify and recommend optimal transfer and distribution supply networks based on global supply/demand balances.
4. Analyze alternate global distribution scenarios and develop strategies to reduce logistics costs (supply, freight, storage fees, etc.)
5. Conduct economic analysis on alternate raw material, purchased components and contract manufacturing options.
6. Recommend changes to improve PAT.
7. Lead specific process improvement teams designed to enhance global supply chain capability.
8. Support implementation of global/regional enhancements to improve supply chain efficiency.
9. Collaborate with Regional Supply Planners to review assumptions in supply plan and develop consensus supply demand balance.
10. Support and participate in the Global Sales and Operations Planning Process (GS&OP).
11. Complete and implement supply chain analytical studies in support of Supply Chain, Sales and Products & Technology objectives.
12. Includes direct interface with internal/external customers and participation on project teams for new product introductions or new business opportunities.
13. Develop short term supply mitigation solutions in response to sudden demand changes, unplanned manufacturing shut-downs, or product quality issues.
14. Oversee development, maintenance, and enhancement global supply optimization tools and organizational capability.
15. Ensure data integrity necessary data necessary to optimize supply chain and maintain metrics to measure supply chain performance. Includes:
16. Data collection, cleanup and management.
17. Monitor assigned global supply chain metrics and recommend/implement corrective actions when necessary.

*Required Qualifications:*

18. Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering.
19. Minimum 4 years general business / operations experience.
20. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
21. Ability to gather, manipulate and analyze large amounts of data.
22. 15%-20% travel (domestic and international) expectation for periodic meetings and participation in projects as assigned.

*Preferred Qualifications:*

23. Experience in developing and executing supply plans.
24. Minimum 2 years experience in supply planning, distribution/logistics, or inventory optimization.
25. Manufacturing experience in the manufacturing process industry.
26. SAP/APO experience a plus.
27. American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) Certification a plus.
28. CSOC Certification.
