Research Engineer (CEMR 14-0059) The West Virginia University Research Corporation (WVURC) seeks to hire a Research Engineer for the College of Engineering .and. Mineral Resources at WVU. This position will provide critical support to the autonomous control software development team at the West Virginia Robotic Technology Center (WVRTC). Bachelors'' degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; and 5-7 years'' of research expertise in the area of robotics with emphasis on the development of real time algorithms for tracking and guidance of robotic arms and robotic manipulators as well as design of robotic arms and tools. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for requisites. PhD. in one of the above mentioned disciplines is preferred. The candidate must hold U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent residency, or must be able to obtain an approved Technical Assistance Agreement (TAA), or an approved State Department or Commerce Department license.
