Position Overview: The Optometrist performs procedures using independent professional judgment in the practice of optometry and within the guidelines of the State of Minnesota and University of Minnesota Physicians. Minimum qualifications: Doctor of Optometry Minnesota Optometric License Minnesota Diagnostic and Therapeutic Drug License Experience with routine eye care, contact lens services and management duties Ability to work with hard to fit patients, therapeutic lenses and fitting, pediatric patients Experience in ocular disease management and interpreting advanced technology. Proficient in the use and interpretation of standard ophthalmic equipment. Preferred: Prior experience or training in fitting lenses, rigid gas permeable (RGP) lenses and post cornea surgery contact lens fittings.
