The Office of Distance Education is seeking a technology support analyst with broad experience supporting teaching and learning technologies within a college or university setting. We are looking for a dynamic professional who is accustomed to working with staff and faculty who use technologies that promote teaching and learning. The technology support analyst will provide hands-on support to a matrix of student, staff and faculty technology needs.Specifically, the Technology Support Analyst will:and#149;Provide one-on-one training and support to students, staff and faculty on hardware and software.and#149;Prepare and upload end of term student evaluations for online and graduate courses using CourseEval software.and#149;Communicate with academic departments to ensure that the evaluation process complies with Faculty Senate Guidelines.and#149;Administer a satisfaction survey for distance education students every term.and#149;Analyze survey feedback and provide results to the Office of Distance Education for utilization in program planning.and#149;Analyze online student outcomes for reporting/planning purposes.and#149;Collect, arrange and maintain DE enrollment data from the Office of Institutional Effectiveness.and#149;Work with academic departments, DoIT, and DE to coordinate the scheduling of Interactive Video (ITV) classrooms.and#149;Train and supervise contracted professional technicians who support ITV classrooms off-campus.and#149;Train faculty in the use of ITV equipment.and#149;Check and trouble-shoot DE computers and other electronic equipment for performance readiness.and#149;Oversee institutional test proctoring for online students on- and off-campus.and#149;Research technology trends, evaluate their appropriateness for UNCP, and make recommendations.and#149;Maintain DE Websiteand#149;Create dashboards for showcasing DE statistical and data profiles.and#149;Serve as point of contact for approved software and hardware vendors.and#149;Other duties as assigned.Job RequirementsMinimum Training and Experience Requirements: Associate's degree in Computer Information Technology, computer Technology Integration, Networking Technology, or related area and one year of experience in the information technology field related to the position's role; or Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year experience in the information technology field related to the position's role; or Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, math or engineering or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Journey level required an additional one year of experience. Advanced level requires an additional two years of experience. Management Preferences: Preferred four-year degree in CIS, ICS, Ed.
