This position is open to location.Description:Brown and Caldwell seeks a Construction Project Engineer with an established track record of providing pre-construction planning, project controls, scheduling, engineering interface and facility start-up experience in executing Integrated Project Delivery (IPD)/Design-Build projects and programs within the environmental services market(Industrial process, remediation, etc.). The Construction Project Engineering function is seen as an essential member of the overall project delivery team. This role will have high visibility within all phases of the project life cycle. This role will support many aspects of the project while developing the necessary management skills required engaging in greater project leadership within the IDP organization. The candidate will require effective communication skills and knowledge of the engineering, construction and commissioning phases of projects utilizing both design build and traditional project delivery platforms. The effective execution of this role will include support of both senior project management as well as field construction delivery forces to support and expedite the installation operations. Efforts during the pre-construction phase will include engineering document and submittal review, value engineering, procurement and schedule development. During the field delivery phase support in the areas of schedule development/maintenance, progress tracking, document control, RFI tracking/resolution, change management support, cost control, subcontractor coordination and engineering conflict resolution. Aspects of the role during the commission and start-up phase of the project will require equipment supplier interface and coordination, start-up plan development and final turnover documentation. The successful candidate will be based at both regional offices and field sites during the execution of their respective role.Job Expectations:This role will support a wide range of tasks during the overall life cycle of a project; Primary focus will be on delivering IPD industrial water/wastewater and remediation project solutions to both existing and new clients.
