**Our Opportunity:**

The Technology Infrastructure Services (“TIS”) organization provides technology solutions and support for Schwab employees, as well as supporting the external Schwab client experience. Within TIS, the Risk & Operational Controls team is responsible for the orchestration, control and remediation of internal/external audits and third-party exams and the findings that flow from them, as well as facilitating the maturation of TIS processes and governance. ****

**What you’ll do:**

Under the direct supervision of a Managing Director of Risk Management, the Sr. Audit Coordinator will provide strong and effective coordination (project management) and audit/exam delivery support of the ongoing execution of audits and exams. This includes working with auditors and internal clients to ensure that the audit process, key milestones, and deliverables are planned for and met. They will also coordinate with other teams and/ or search company records to locate supporting audit documentation.

Additionally, the Coordinator will act as an advocate for internal clients, where appropriate. They will also ensure internal clients and management is kept up-to-date with current audit/exam status, potential risk and other relevant information. The Coordinator will use broad business knowledge of the organization to continuously impact strategy, policy and process development as technical expert and thought leadership in area to improve business outcomes. They will act as a mentor/advisor to other team members; assist with the identification and planning of training activities for the department as well as the onboarding of new staff.

Finally, the Coordinator will carry out any other assigned duties and projects and ensure all job duties are handled in accordance with company, department and team policies and procedures. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None****

**What you have:**

* Excellent ability to work within a team setting and maintain professional composure in a dynamic work environment that often requires management / completion of multiple concurrent tasks within close deadlines and high demands, with a high degree of accuracy
* Self-starter with the ability to maintain own work flow with minimal guidance
* Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in order to present and explain information to internal / external customers, auditors and examiners
* A minimum of eight years’ experience in a similar role that interfaced with external organizations
* Proven track record of providing consistently excellent customer service
* Direct internal audit support experience and overall awareness of the internal audit profession strongly referred
* Must have superior skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
* Travel out of state for training or audit/exam support may be required (less than 10%).
