**Terex Corporation**is a lifting and material handling solutions company reporting in five business segments: Aerial Work Platforms, Construction, Cranes, Material Handling & Port Solutions and Materials Processing. The MHPS segment comprises two business groups - Material Handling and Port Solutions.

**Terex Port Solutions:
**With its combined product portfolio Terex Port Solutions (PS) offers a broad range of manual, semi-automated and automated solutions in the port technology sector such as, ship to shore cranes, harbour cranes, stradle and sprinter carriers, automatic guided vehicles, stacking cranes, lift rucks, bulk material handlers and hopers.

Part of the Port Solutions business in Banbury, the Field Service Technician plays a key role in the provision of a wide range of quality services to our customers to include service, repair, commissioning, testing and inspection of our Port Solutions equipment.

This role is field based covering a patch within North East England. The ideal candidate will reside in the Newcastle area, or on the A1 corridor throughout the North east.

**Responsibilities:**

Main responsibilites include:-

* Service, repair, installation, commissioning, inspection, and testing of TPS products.
* The provision of professional services for Terex Port Solutions equipment.
* On-call response in accordance with the appropriate published roster as agreed.
* Ensure Company policies and procedures are adhered to as defined in the Integrated Management Systems documentation and statutory requirements.
* Timely completion of activity reporting documentation i.e. time sheets and expense reports.
* Accurate and descriptive problem reporting.
* Completion of inspection and examination documentation as appropriate.
* Other reasonable activities as requested by the TPS Service Operations Manager.
* Work within the requirements of the Terex Road maps for health, safety and the environment.

**Qualifications:**

Skills/Experience required:-

* ONC or equivalent in electrical or mechanical engineering.
* Proven competency to install, inspect, and maintain lifting equipment in accordance with relevant operating/installation instructions and the requirements of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER).
* Knowledge and experience of working safely at height.
* Full Driving License

This role involves a lot of travel and working away from home so candidates will be expected to have a flexible approach.
