Job Description
Reporting directly to the Associate Director of Marketing this position will be responsible for leading the Tysabri brand, achieving the immediate sales and profitability objectives and managing the long term cycle product life.
Principal Accountabilities:

• Prepare marketing plans for the LA South markets and defining long and short term objectives and strategies ensuring the Tysabri brand growth to meet company objectives

• Manage the promotional budget for the brand to meet marketing and sales objectives

• Develop, adapt and execute global and local marketing brand strategies and tactics

• Influence and motivate the sales force to ensure successful implementation of promotional plans and meet sales objectives; maintain close liaison with the sales force to ensure interchange of information maximizing promotional efforts.

• Monitor progress, changing market needs and the marketing mix to be better able to modify tactics to achieve sales objectives

• Maintain and develop credibility and reputation amongst medical opinion leaders, prescribers and pharmacists to ensure capability for current and future company development.

• Own and manage marketing brand budget

• Devise pre-launch plans for new label indications

Major Challenges of the Job:

• Act as a ‘product champion’ and drive forward the market development of brand

• Clear communication of marketing objectives to all appropriate people within the company to ensure a common approach and purpose

• Management of all the activities associated with the brand plan against set deadlines and, most importantly, influencing and persuading all individuals who have to contribute to activities related to the marketing plan

Qualifications • A minimum of 2 year’s pharmaceutical marketing experience as Product Mgr.
• Experience in specialty markets; of particular interest are neurology, oncology, immunology or HIV
• Must be adept at influencing Management
• Must have excellent analytical, strategic thinking, creativity, and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral and ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work under pressure
• Must exhibit leadership skills and ability to perform in fast paced environments
• Self-starter who functions well independently or within a team
• Experience with effective budget management
• Previous experience in sales, medical and/or finance is a plus
Education - BA/BS required (Administration/Marketing). Postgraduate / MBA candidates will be considered, but not required.
- Fluent in English
