*Job Description:*

Northrop Grumman Information Systems is seeking a senior SAP Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Consultant in Richmond, VA. The SAP MRP engineer supports the deployment of the Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-Army) solution as part of Cutover effort. The ideal candidate is highly knowledgeable in manufacturing and/or supply chain processes, and has prior SAP experience on military projects. The candidate will be supporting operational design for US Army SAP solution in the area of Material Requirements Planning (MRP). The preferred resource has experience with user procedures, SOP, and process flow.
Detailed experience is expected with monitoring inventory management control, analysis, planning and forecasting activities. The candidate should also have good understanding of the integration between MRP and Material Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Inventory Management (IM), Plant Maintenance (PM), Property Book (PB), Warehouse Management (WM), Funds Management (FM), and Master Data Structure. Understanding of Governance methodologies related to Customer, Vendor, Material, BOMs, and Super-Session will also be helpful.
The MRP consultant may also support the business operations regarding consumption, forecasting, safety stock optimization, inventory level optimization, in which high-level analysis experience will be required in order to provide historical usage data. Also, the MRP consultant may drive operations to work with and improve interaction with maintenance processes and educate operations in areas of material usage optimization.
*Responsibilities:*

Member of the Logistics (LO) Cutover Support Team (CST) focused on the conversion effort of GCSS-Army SAP Solution. Extensive SAP experience is desirable including hands-on experience with MRP, Inventory Management, Purchasing, Logistics Execution and Master Data.
The position will also include:

- Provide configuration and analysis to support the integrated solution of GCSS-Army

- Communicate status and issues to the Cutover Team (C3) and Cutover Support Teams (CST)

- Analyze trends in errors and propose resolutions to prevent further incidents

- Document and communicate needed changes as it relates to the respective functional area

- Work with the other project team members to ensure integration and consistency of configuration and design

- Standard conversion tasks inclusive to setting up and initializing the production environment, and automated and manual data migration activities

Basic Qualifications:

Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a “Public Trust” Clearance.
Typical Minimum Education / Experience: 9 Years with Bachelors; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD. Years of experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
• Minimum five (5) years of application configuration (SAP) experience in MRP and associated modules:

o Excellent understanding of commercial and/or public sector Logistics processes

o Good understanding of Financial, Sales Ordering, Inventory Management, Plant Maintenance and/or Warehouse Management processes.

o Good understanding of Financial, Sales Ordering, Inventory Management and/or Warehouse Management process integration

o Understanding of SAP tables, data structure, programs, SAP enhancement framework, and ability to learn customized development for the solution

• Proficient in MS Office software (Excel, Access, Word)

• Analyze trends in errors and propose resolutions to prevent further incidents

• Proven capabilities to convey knowledge to other program resources, and Subject Matter Experts, both technically and functionally

• Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills

• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proven ability to work effectively in a high-integrated environment

• Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills

• Strong facilitation skills may be required for issue analysis/resolution

• Experience working in a government or government contractor environment.
*Preferred Qualifications:*

• Experience or knowledge in Army logistics systems (e.g. PBUSE, SAMS-E, SARSS, Force Element structure)

• Two (2) or more full lifecycle implementations as an SAP PM functional consultant

• Experience working on a government or military project

• Active DoD security clearance
