The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the successful project planning and execution of a variety of projects, from initiation through closing. Specific responsibilities for this role are outlined below.
Essential Job Functions
Effectively applies the internal project methodology as determined by the Project Management Office (PMO) and reinforces project standards and processes throughout the various phases of the project lifecycle.
Collaborates with the appropriate business owners, stakeholders, and project team in developing project scope, timelines, and resource allocations.
Maintains project schedules and timelines including milestones, deliverables, and task and resource dependencies, while maintaining consistent communication and approval processes with project team throughout the project lifecycle.
Regularly reports project and sprint status, dependencies, issues, and risks to all appropriate project stakeholders, working to remove impediments to ensure project teams stay on track.
Manages day-to-day operational aspects of multiple concurrent projects within assigned cross-functional teams.
Collaborates with designers, developers, product managers, marketers, business analysts, sales people, and other stakeholders on project specifics.
Monitors and reviews project and sprint status and deliverables to ensure the project will be delivered on time and within budget and to specification.
Leads applicable project communication across teams and departments with both internal and external project owners and stakeholders, and translates outcomes into actionable tasks and deliverables.
Serves as a mentor, along with other senior project managers, for others in the organization.
Responsible for conducting all applicable Agile ceremonies, with a focus on continual improvement.
Be able to think strategically and act tactically. Willing to roll up your sleeves and do what needs to be done.

Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
BA/BS in Business, Technology, or related field. PMP and Agile certification preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 7 years of project management experience, preferably in web development.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Solid experience using Microsoft Project, Word, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint required. Experience with JIRA or similar Agile work management tool a plus.
Strong knowledge in software development processes, with practical experience with both Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies.
Advanced understanding of project management principles and practices and proven experience in putting them into practice.
Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering large/complex projects, including project scope, schedule, resources, quality, costs, and change management.
Strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through, with demonstrated ability to bring projects to successful conclusion, on time and within budget.
Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, and to gather and analyze information skillfully.
Experienced self-starter who can manage multiple projects in tandem with very little supervision.
Strong interpersonal skills in leading cross-functional resources, resolving conflicts, fostering alignment, and gaining commitment.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively and efficiently communicate at all levels of the organization.
Understanding how project issues affect the big picture from a business perspective.
