Princeton HealthCare System is currently searching for aPer Diem,Days,Certified Medical Assistant/Medical Receptionistfor Princeton Medicine. This position will float among different practices within the organization based on daily needs.

Position Summary:The Certified Medical Assistant/ Receptionist is a position that has both clerical and clinical responsibilities.

• Scheduling patient appointments, receiving and processing outpatients, collecting and communicating patient demographic/insurance information, data entry of patient services and co-payments, payment reconciliation and deposit, processing referrals and pre-certification of procedures for a multi-specialty practice.

• Providing care within Registered/ Certified Medical Assistant scope of practice for patients of Princeton Medicine, multi-specialty, physician offices.

• Facilitating patient flow during outpatient sessions, assists with procedures, and handles high volume of patient calls and documents in medical records.

• This position can assume the role of either a Medical Receptionist or Registered/ Certified Medical Assistant at any time.

Qualifications:

All PHCS employees are required to receive an annual influenza vaccine unless they are granted a medical or religious exemption.

Required:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Two years of medical receptionist/front desk experience required, to include knowledge of medical terminology/abbreviations and physician office operations

- Current certification as Registered Medical Assistant/Certified Medical Assistant

- Excellent phlebotomy skills

- Knowledge of managed care plans, commercial insurance and referral requirements

- Excellent clinical, interpersonal, customer service and communication skills required, flexibility and an ability to handle multiple demands. Professionalism essential

- Customer service oriented teamwork approach, accuracy, and initiative, organizational and problem-solving skills

- Proficiency with computer utilization and Microsoft, Excel

- Must be able to perform all clinical job duties and pass hospital and departmental competencies

- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently

Preferred:

- Associates degree, coding certification

- At least two years previous RMA/CMA work experience

- Experience with EMR system
