The School has 20-25 faculty and seven additional staff members. rLocation: Pocatello, IdahoTHE OPPORTUNITYrThe Dean is responsible for external and internal leadership and management with the School of Nursing. The Dean is the academic and operational leader of the School and has oversight for strategic planning, budgeting, development, enhancement initiatives, assuring external funding to support growth of the School, faculty development, accreditation and professional standards. The Dean is responsible for day-to-day management of faculty, staff and students, and for creating innovative opportunities to assure the development and progression of student educational experiences. The Dean is expected to enhance scholarship, ensure student satisfaction, provide collaborative leadership to faculty and staff, and promote the School through enhancement of external relationships.rThe School of Nursing has two undergraduate, pre-licensure programs a traditional program in Pocatello and an accelerated program in Meridian, Idaho and a Bachelor of Science Completion Program for ADRN nurses. The School s Master s in nursing program is an online program. The School has two doctoral programs including a PhD in Nursing and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) program. The DNP program includes Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) options. Doctoral students are provided opportunities to participate actively in a wide variety of nursing research agendas and topics. DNP students are expected to complete an evidence based practice project as part of their learning experiences. Both undergraduate and graduate programs have a strong rural focus.rReporting relationships: rReports to the Vice Provost and Executive Dean of the Division of Health Sciences. Directly supervises the associate directors for graduate and undergraduate programs and administrative support staff. Provides input into the performance evaluation process for all faculty and staff.rQualifications: r Doctoral degree in Nursing.r Administrative experience in nursing education.r A track record of and scholarship (funded and scholarly publications) and teaching.
