In this role you will lead employees in ground transportation, to ensure the highest level of customer service within a regulatory compliance environment. In collaboration withinternal and external entities, peer supervisors, and other airport sections you will ensure the safe and efficient flow of people using ground transportation and lost & found services. Other duties include: monitoring contract compliance for the curb management contract; providing airport passengers, airport partners and employees with assistance on the availability of ground transportation options and lost and found services; and inspecting airport facilities.

Job Responsibilities:

* Provides leadership and supervises the work of Landside employees engaged in providing excellent customer service by developing and modifying work plans, and procedures; determining work priorities, providing instructions, assisting with difficult assignments; and developing work schedules for adequate staff coverage.
* Coaches, mentors, and challenges staff. Champions continuous improvement, including devising new strategies and new opportunities. Ensures staff is sufficiently knowledgeable and dynamic regarding customer service protocols. Leads staff development initiatives that include training, individual development and succession planning. Establishes performance expectations and standards for all levels of employees to achieve or exceed performance metrics and to prepare them for the future.
* Supervises staff while working both indoors and outdoors.
* Resolves problems encountered during daily operations and determines appropriate solutions; informs staff of relevant business issues and their impact on the organization.
* Coaches, mentors and develops employees; encourages innovation, collaboration, promotes teamwork, and regular communication.
* Formally evaluates the work of employees and provides reward and recognition for proper and efficient performance.
* Develops performance enhancement plans as needed; documents performance, and provides feedback; documents causes for disciplinary action, initiates letters of reprimand, and makes formal recommendations for disciplinary action if necessary.
* Responds to formal and informal employee grievances and prepares written responses.
* Participates in planning and managing budget systems; prepares and presents budget recommendations to higher management; adjusts work plans/activities as a result of budget changes.
* Acts as liaison with contractors responsible for ground transportation curb coordination. Attends regular meetings with contractor to facilitate communication that identifies and resolves operational issues.
* Represents organization at the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) during airport incidents and emergencies that require coordination of efforts by the entire airport.
* Researches, compiles facts, and makes recommendations for items purchased by the organization, requisitions materials, supplies, and replacement parts. Monitors inventory of materials and supplies and assists with surplus of equipment and furniture.
Qualifications:
Education Requirement:
* Graduation from high school or possession of GED certificate.Experience Requirement:
* Three (3) years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
*
Monitoring compliance and enforcing policies to ensure safety and efficient flow of people;
* Working in transportation/parking operations;
* Providing a high level of customer service.Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree
* Previous supervisory/managerial experience.
* Experience working in a compliance/enforcement environment.
* Excellent communication, leadership, networking, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
* Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.Education/Experience Equivalency:

* A combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for education and experience requirement.Licensure and/or Certification:
* Completion of a supervisory training course prior to completion of the probationary period.
* Possession of a valid Driver’s License at the time of application.
