* _Position Summary:_*
The overall role of the Swarm Inn Supervisor is to assist with managing and maintaining the Swarm Inn in all aspects of service including but not limited to, employees and scheduling conflicts, productivity, increased sales and customer satisfaction, menu management, maintaining the integrity and consistency of the Meal Exchange program, ordering and inventory, training and meetings directly relating to the Swarm Inn and its employees, HACCP, Simply to Go program, implementing and tracking of Sodexo LTO for retail operations, enforcing, leading and maintaining excellent customer service, playing an active role in production in order to be available and aware of surroundings, and knowledge of all positions.
Some job duties included but are not limited to:
* _General Production/Supervisor Duties:_*
* Serves as a working supervisor in production coordinating activities or service of employees engaged in food operations at the Swarm Inn snack bar.
* Maintains the appearance and integrity of Sodexo at all times and through all aspects.
* Assists in monitoring employee productivity and provides suggestions for increased service and productivity.
* Orients and trains employees at the Swarm Inn on cooking, cashier, knowledge of the menu, and customer service.
* Work with customers to ensure satisfaction in such areas as quality, service, and problem resolution.
* Assists in the supervision of day to day activities of subordinates and assigns responsibility for specific work or functional activities.
* Communicates openly with management to obtain the information and resources necessary for day to day duties, situations, and activities.
* Communicates necessary information to co-supervisors and subordinates to create a informed work force and promote communication among all staff.
* Handles scheduling issues that arise and ensures that employees are getting and taking scheduled and approved breaks. Enforces the schedule to the best of the business needs and approves all alterations through management.
* As deemed necessary by management, may attend daily Culinary Planning meeting in the absence of the Retail Manager.
o Efficiently utilizes time spent in Culinary Planning meetings to ensure product quality, consistency, and communication with the all employees.
* Organization of the Swarm Inn in all aspects such as but not limited to, coolers, freezers, storerooms, HACCP, displays, supplies, etc.
* Maintain the clean as you go program to continually improve the Swarm Inn’s cleanliness and efficiency.
* Reporting all equipment maintenance work orders and up keep with Facility Services and other venders of such equipment.
* All work orders must be reported to management within 24 hours of the initial request for further tracking and follow up purposes.
* Recommend updates to management for the Swarm Inn preparation manual. Enforces that all build sheets and recipes are produced according to the build sheets and/or recipes.
o Monitor all products for non or slow moving items and effectively decide with management how to effectively move product.
* Managing and maintaining the inventory levels at the Swarm Inn to ensure the correct amount of product is on hand at all times to eliminate running out of products and high food costs.
* _Cashier/Cash Handling Duties:_*
* Serves as the primary or secondary cashier depending on staffing.
* Accurately works with and handles money including but not limited to: change, cash register, deposits, and audits.
* Operates a cash register (or equivalent), receives payments of cash, checks, credit cards, and charges from customers or employees for goods or services, making change and issuing receipts or tickets to customers.
* Records amounts received and summarize funds received, endorse checks, prepare deposits and verify cash at the beginning and ending of a shift.
o Accurately records deposits and cash change exchanges in the Safe Log.
* Maintains proper security of cash at all times.
* Understands and follows Sodexo Cash Handling Policies and Procedures.
* Fully understands the parameters of the Meal Plan and G-Buck$ programs and is able to clearly answer questions or explain the programs to students, staff, or customers.
* Ensures that both (2) registers are open and operational during times of high volume business and customer flow.
* Responsible for keeping adequate amounts of change in the safe and goes to accounting to obtain change as necessary.
* _Safety Roles and Responsibilities:_*
* Assists in ensuring a safe working environment throughout the facility for all employees.
* Conducting monthly safety audits and provide to management, and replacing all HACCP sheets for the previous month.
* May be asked to participate in the Safety Committee as a member.
* Enforcing all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) rules and regulations for all employees.
* _Misc. / Office Duties_*
* Performs day to day assignments from management in addition to lead duties and assisting in production.

* Document any and all customer and employee incidents/accidents for management follow up.
* Report any employee, customer, and/or vendor incidents and accidents to management and Security at the time of the incident and/or accident.
* Ensure that coolers, freezers, bread drawers, and steamwells (e.g., gravy, soup) are set at the correct temperatures and labeled, and record equipment and food temperatures on HACCP chart.
* Maintain cleanliness of work areas and serving areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
