We currently have a very exciting, challenging and rewarding career opportunity on our Corporate Honeywell User Experience (HUE) team.HUE is a new approach to the design and development of new products and services. HUE starts with internal and external customer experience and deploys rapid prototyping and other design principles which enable faster cycle time and lead to increased customer value and loyalty. While HUE is traditionally focused on design and development of new products and services, we are also taking a contemporary approach to our internal processes by applying HUE concepts to improve our ability to be “Right & Fast”.

This position reports directly to the Vice President of Six Sigma and will lead and support internal Corporate UX and HUE projects, programs, and initiatives focused on, HR, Procurement, Communications, and Six Sigma business processes and tools. The incumbent of this position will interact with senior functional leadership and subject matter experts to develop solutions, centered on UX/UI methodologies that improve internal process performance while enhancing internal employee/customer experience. This position requires an individual with a strong background in process improvement and ability to deliver significant business results.

This position can be located in Morristown, NJ, Phoenix, AZ, or Minneapolis, MN. This role will require up to 50% travel; domestic and international**.

**Responsibilities include:

* Act as a change agent and influence leader to the HR, Procurement, Communication and Six Sigma organization in adopting HUE principles of User Experience and User Design to internal processes.

* Act as a user-centered design resource supporting corporate functions as they institutionalize HUE, leveraging human-centered, user experience and interaction design techniques.

* Apply UX/US principals and theories to projects and program initiatives within the HR, Procurement, Communications, and Six Sigma functions

* Work with end-users, leaders, and IT development teams

* Program implementation and course correction; where required

* Partner with end users and leaders to gain an understanding and help define the user and functional system requirements.

* Act as a catalyst to bring focus to usability and good interaction design on multiple project teams composed of business process owners, project management, and development.

* Develop and apply design strategies and guidelines to new and derivative
designs solutions.

* Conduct task / workflow analyses of existing and emerging user work practices.

* Conduct heuristic evaluations of systems and designs.

* Create conceptual/logical design architectures that improve user productivity and satisfaction.

* Develop and build cross organizational team support for physical design storyboards, wireframes and prototypes.

* Apply current User Interface Design visualization/development tools such as Visual Basic, Director, Flash, and Photoshop.

* Plan, conduct, and report usability tests to validate suitability of proposed designs.

* Create and maintain user interface design specifications.

* Coordinate functional level usability design activities, direction, and development.

Qualifications

**Basic Qualifications**:

* Bachelor’s degree in Human Factors, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Human Computer Interaction, Industrial/Communication Design or related field

* 5 years of experience in Human Factors and UX/UI Design

* 3 years minimum experience in process improvement and strategy/implementation

**Additional Qualifications:

* Master’s degree preferred

* Strong background and understanding of technology

* Excellent project management skills

* Experience leading change initiatives

* Excellent organizational and change management skills

* Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

* Ability to think critically, solve problems, and be a strong team player across diverse sets of team
