Volt is seeking multiple accounting professionals for openings with our client in Melville, NY.
General Summary:
Under general supervision the Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for applying payments to customer accounts in an accurate and timely manner.
Essential Functions:
Maintain Accounts Receivable cash payment details
Liaison with sales reps and customers regarding payments from customers and account reconciliation issues
Process cash receipts including lockbox checks, wire transfers and credit card payments
Resolve payment issues, bank discrepancies as needed.
Close books daily.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
-SAP or large ERP (Oracle, JD Edwards, Great Plains/Microsoft Dynamics) experience is a must. SAP is preferred, . -Split billing, heavy processing volume and experience multi-tasking between A/R duties is a must.
Job Requirements
Job Specifications:
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
High school diploma or GED required
1 to 3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable
Prior SAP experience preferred
Working knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel and Lotus Notes
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Strong organization skills, detail oriented and ability to multitask
Strong math skills
Must be detailed oriented and accurate
Overtime may be required
